    Phunkles - thanks..............silly me......why didn't I think of that:confused:

Just tried it and its perfect size.............now should I put anything else in the jar apart from a wand and some glitter.........thought it I rolled the poem up and popped that in it would be nice........maybe

savingholmes - I'm just one of lifes permanent 'wittlers'..................lol
The more I look at this little fairy the nicer it starts to look and I think a wand and some glitter inside and the verse on a little gift tag will be perfect for my friend - so no more worrying..................promise !!!:rotfl:

Not impressed with myself ...... realised last night that I have left all my 'pickled bums' and my christmas 'toilet rolls' in Spain!!! Typical!!!

So once again I have had to fork out and I am cutting up even more tights.
Still, had another idea though, as well as my 'pickled bums' for my auntie, I have now had a go at 'pickled boobs' for my uncle.

What about printing the poem then rolling into a scroll, tie with fine ribbon and either put inside or attach to the jar lid.

Also lovely top for the jar instead of material hats..
Paint both sides of a fresh fallen leaf with glycerine. Put over the jar and fasten with elastic band. Cover in cling film and leave in fridge overnight. Day after wipe the leaf clean with tissue, wipe the jar too  and attach as norm with rubber band and/or raffia. They don't dry out and I am putting one on my fairy jar. It's a bit of a messy job but worth it.

polly -thanks for the ideas. They sound really good. OH just came home with three plastic tubs........think they were kinder egg holders or something -anyway, my fairy fits in there a treat !!!:j
I'll put a load of glitter and some little gems from my card making stuff that are too fiddly for me to manage, glue spot on her bum and she;ll sit there smiling ! Won't be room to put a little scroll inside but I could do it and attach it to the outside.
I have got a load of those skeleton leaves I might be able to do something with as well. Oh the mind could run riot with this little idea.................lol:rotfl:

Hi Mary, exactly the same way as we have done the bums.
Only tried to make them more rectangular than the bums, a little more over-sewing on the back to make them narrower. Then just put a few stitches over and over on the same spot to try and make a more protruding dot ... for the nipples!!!

At least I didn't have my cellulite problem this time round :rotfl: :rotfl:

Santa .... brilliant. Have a fun time.
