  • I have tried searching for my answer but can't find it so sorry if I am repeating an older post.

I am looking for inspiration! I have been given a large bag of salt, each piece of salt is approx 1 inch oblong and I am wondering what I can do with them. The giver of the salt puts them in their bath but I will need a novel way to display them. Do you think they would look right in a jar as part melted snowmen, and if so what sort of verse can I put with them? Anyone got ideas I would be grateful. Also if packed as decorative bath salts would I be able to colour them or am i risking dyeing everyones bath ?:rotfl:

    Many thanks

Could you make a mini wand somehow - tinfoil covered card maybe and add a sprinking of glitter (fairy dust).

That's a great ideal. You could sprinkle a bit of fairy dust in the jar too and attach a label "Missing Fairy, reward for safe return" or something like that

Hi mary43, (Fairy in a jar) Why don't you look round at christmas tree decorations. There are loads of fairies at the moment and if it's not quite right, perhaps you can alter the clothes etc.

Hmmmm.... ...just going over the bits I have for me muvva &--does this sound silly to yooze guys?
She still lives independantly & is very good at cooking for herself every day...She's beginning to ask me how I use things like red lentils in "proper food" cuz she "won't eat that foreign muck" like bolognaise :p I've been keeping all my jam jars etc & wondered about making up a little selection of dried bits so she doesn't go & buy a 'big' bag to get left to fester in the cupboard.
I know she's pretty keen to try a pease pudding so I'll have a look for a recipe for that & I saw one somewhere for faggots, so perhaps I could fathom some way of keeping little bits of herns & spices too--the standard size pots are far too much, altho I s'pose I'd get it back eventually :oOoooh ..what could I put them in first to help keep them fresh, before putting them into one of those boxes we use for retro sweetie gifts????

C'mon folks! Thinking caps on _party_ <<that's me in my cap & all the daft ideas I do come up with!

I've done lemon bath salts with epsom salts, lemon oil and a couple of drops of yellow food colouring. The colour doesn't stain anything as I've used them at home.
