Hi guys
Busy morning/mid day so far!
* went to the allotmentpicked 4 courgettes - can't believe they're still fruiting! - runner beans, raspberries, strawberries - having a last gasp of fruiting
& apples
* hung washing out on the line - tis almost done
* went to Cotton Powell museum, took snacks, drinks & a flask of coffee & used membership card so free
* have juiced some apples as an experiment. Worked well so going to be juicing a load and freezing but might not happen until tomorrow
* tidied and partially cleaned d/s
* had some leaflets dropped off to deliver in my village over the next few weeks - not sure I have the energy to go through all of this again!
Still to do:
* dinner is rubber chicken and courgette risotto (oh & madam)
* bff is taking me out for dinner and cocktails tonight
* going to have a nap
* get washing in, fold & put away
actually that's all I can think of!
eurgh yesterday I ended up having to pay £300 to get my exhaust fixed as it have broken off and all the underneath was rustedstill smarting over it!

Hi Saturday Savers,
Useful & disciplined day on the money saving front:
*Parked on outskirts of town & walked in to avoid car parking charges.
*Treated ourselves to coffee in our favourite coffee shop but used our Personal Spends to pay for it & shared a warm scone to reduce the bill.
*Final grocery shop of September's budget......& we came in at 37p under budget for the month. Yay!! The extra time spent on meal plans & more carefully prepared shopping lists paid off this month. Most of our list bought in Aldi (£34) then a fiver at local market for a big bag of veg, £3.25 for cat's box of stinky meat at Wilko's & the rest at Waitrose buying the few items we couldn't get at Aldi.
*Free 'Guardian' with Waitrose loyalty card.
*Massively useful afternoon in the garden - mr f dug the rest of the potatoes, picked the last of the blackberries, gathered our apple crop & did lots of grunt-work. I picked the last of the beans.....a bit tough now, but have sliced into little chunks & frozen for stew veg. Also cut our 2 big squashes, the rest of the chillies & peppers. Moved trough of rocket to greenhouse as still going strong. Moved tender plants to greenhouse ready for when first frost strikes. Left 4 courgette plants in situe, as they are still producing. Oh, & picked a little bunch of sage.
*mr f's cooking night. He's trying a new recipe I found in one of my Mum's magazines - 'Hearty Gardener's Pie'. It's a mash-topped pie made from carrots, parsnips, bacon, red lentils, all sorts of things. There will be enough for tomorrow too. Cook once, eat twice.
*Two baths from one lot of hot water & a 'use-it-up' for me, as I rinsed out the last little bit of a birthday goodie for bubbles.
*Free leisure today - will be knitting for my sales basket later & intend to read some more of my current library book (2nd one in an Icelandic crime series) & catch up with a couple of TV programmes.
*mr f continuing to research mobile phone tariffs. We currently pay £38-50 a month for both our contracts combined. We were wanting to get Sim-only contracts but stay with the same network, but the cheapest deals will require a move. I dislike the waste & environmental impact of continuous unnecessary upgrading of gadgets but my current phone has very little storage (it's full of all the apps/functions it arrived with, that I never, ever use, but am utterly unable to remove. This seems to be a problem with the model of phone) so I am wondering if I should just upgrade if there's a good deal & sell our old phones. I have zero interest in owning a flash brand of phone. I like lots of minutes, unlimited texts & a modest amount data, so hopefully there will be something worth having. I was perhaps hoping for too much......a sim only of about £8 a month without having to move provider! I'm boring myself just typing this......mobile phone tariffs/packages render me comatose, especially in the shop when I'm supposed to be clinching a good deal!!
*Did a couple of Onepoll surveys - one was a 50p one about what foods I waste. Er, None? I almost lost the plot reading the lists of foods they thought I might be binning on a weekly basis!
Wishing everyone a nice evening,

Foxgloves - re the phone. If you or Mr F are particularly tech minded and the phone runs on Android, you should be able to root it and remove the bloatware. Bear in mind this will invalidate any warranty/insurance and you need to be careful where you download the root software from.LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -

Busy week ahead so must get on to make sure I'm ahead of the game with a bit of R&R in too. Things for today:
Bake dough balls I made yesterday
Made hummus, did double froze half
Zested lemons from hummus and froze ready for a Madeira cake later in the week
Washing outside, 2 lods done
Plan minimum of what needs doing in the garden tomorrow ready for winter as it's going to be nice.
Something easy for tea
Knitting tonight
Picked last of tomatoes and added to ripe bowl
Quick fly lady around kitchen and lounge
Wrapped gift for friends little one from stash.
Enjoy your day peeps. Purps
Very productive day, I have also stripped one and a half walls in our bedroom of wallpaper and pretty much all of the stairs (that I can reach without creating a health & safety disaster :rotfl:) I'm still using the wallpaper stripper I made two weeks ago to do the rest of the bedroom, as i left it in the bucket
Used some mold spray i had to clean the side of the windows in our room, by the front door and on part of the bathroom window
Ate an apple from one of the 45 I was gifted this week, they're not even windfall ones, lovely round red ones that should be on supermarket shelves :A
Left over dough balls in fridge, if we don't have for lunch tomorrow I will freeze them
All washing dried apart from two items, they're hung over banister.
Mended airer that had come apart that I thought was beyond repair :money::D
Need to do some work before Monday that I didn't get chance to do yesterday, but I really want to knit too, may do half an hours work and then move on to knitting.
Made note in phone to remember to collect boots I've taken in for soleing and heeling. Its £22 but given that I have already had them 4 years and this will likely give another few and they are soooo comfy, it's well worth it.
right must get on :-)0 -

Morning frugal ones :hello: quick coffeee and the last crumpet to set me up for the day:
Off to swimming lessons, already paid
Pop to SM for coleslaw, may go to Mr w so I can get a free coffee as it's by swimming
Lots of time in the garden sorting out and tidying may see if carrots and beetroot are ready
frozen sausages from freezer, aiming for final BBQ of the season, unless of course we get a heatwave mid October :rotfl:
Did my work last night, although it took me 2 hours so no knitting but it means tonight I can knit away
Make mrs FW beans for DH lunch tonight and mine tomorrow, got some beans from freezer
Get ready for school, work tomorrow. Check if anything additional is 'needed' for any of the activities this week so there is no last minute stuff going on
See if I can get 5 things on fleabay
Enjoy the sunshine0 -
Morning folks
Went to bed early but despite being comfy and sleepy, I kept dozing instead of sleeping properly. Still tired today. Waaaaaa.
This is either an excellent week or a terrible week to start this meal plan. In this particular week each month, I have little appetite. This is good for cutting calories, but unfortunately the lower calorie amount is still too much in this week. I feel like my stomach will burst from food. Might swerve all the snacks today.
Today:- Meals from plan
- No point in going to fave cafe as have no remaining calories for anything other than tea. Which I could drink at home for free.
- Charge phone in work
- List two bits to sell.
- Dust that blimming room!
- Crochet
- Sleep

Morning all!
I did my induction day yesterday, 8 hours of sitting with my head turned in the same direction meant I came home with and still have a headache due to an old neck/nerve problem. I have been doing the exercises the physio gave me some 8 or 9 years ago which always sort it eventually and, as soon as I'm dressedI have some gifted anti-inflammatories in the car.
I stopped off to see my mum on the way home last night so I have a free day today, I'm going to try to get out into the garden for some exercise and a bit of a tidy up.
I will defrost some YS lamb mince for meatballs later, brunch will most likely be eggs and tomatoes on toast.

Forgot to say, I managed to snap another handful of hiring signs whilst in a different town yesterday and I am now up to £14.56 on job spotter. If any of you aren't doing it it's worth a look, I've managed that since last Thursday and payment is in Amazon vouchers.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
