  • Another one her to recommend NCT. Although I'd try and pop along to another local one before to judge prices (or ask if they have a guide for their branch sale). You price it drop it off and then go back to collect later what's not sold. Charity keep 30%. If buyer likes price, they buy. If they don't they leave it.. no haggling :D

Thanks 1LuckyLady & PurpleFairy26 ! I haven't done a car boot in years - but the NCT route sounds good - will have to research!

I'm in Yorkshire, but will definitely check out the NCT! Honestly some of the things I have I've barely used, bought a pushchair with a carseat & carrycot attachment, so you're getting a car seat for the price too, it was worth nearly £300 brand new. I used it for 18 months, put it on Facebook for £100 or near offer, expected to get about £80, someone messaged me offering £30!! The cheek of it! I didn't even respond!!

I don't blame you for not responding, I wouldn't sell it on principle after that! I sold my DS's pram at a nearly new shop where you leave it and the shop take a percentage. I think I priced it at £70 and they rang to say someone had offered £50 which I accepted but, bearing in mind he's 20 now that was still a good price.

Evening all, back to work today and so glad it's my last week!

I forgot to take my computer glasses so have eye strain. Incompetent woman has started her job but, despite my nose being put out of joint she was the person I was most pleased to see. In the great scheme of things, although the she is incompetent she is a nice person which is more than can be said of some of the others there.

Dinner tonight was a bag of crisps and some YS Tex Mex dips, I cooked a quiche from the freezer for DS and made his favourite garlic mayo potato salad.

I managed one PA survey today which will bring me up to payout amount as soon as it's approved, I also managed to snaffle a few books.

    Have a good evening all!

  • Hi guys
Thanks for the kick off DNMS  How annoying about the freezer, but woo hoo, new kettle time! :D

Ha ha, between FVD and CLF, it sounds like we all work at my place - nice, friendly but incompetent people on one side and me arguing over deliverables with product owners on the other - all in a good day's work :rotfl:

I think my bag sold in the 2nd hand shop as I couldn't see it when I went in today. Fingers crossed!

Grocery spends are looking good this month. We've spent under £190 so far so that's about £80 less than usual. :T

    What else....
    - Packed lunch
    - Didn't dry my hair
    - Free ebook
    - Checked banking/reconciled YNAB
    - Used discount card to buy some housey stuff
    - Got myself some 90p earrings in the sale and they are perfecto/exactly what I've been looking for

    Probably more!

    Night all!

    Evening all :)
Late check in for me today. Today's small things:
    Cleaned bathroom
Walked to town to restock sales unit, wheeling my bits and pieces in my trusty trolley, free exercise and saved fuel :)
Also called in to post office with 5 ebay items, used free stamps from RM surveys to post them (unusually, all fitted into envelopes) :)
Supermarket this afternoon, did use car, used vouchers for extra nectar points
All food from home, finished up quiche for lunch and made a fab fish curry for dinner :)
Load of washing mostly dried on the line, must put it onto the airer before bed to finish off
    Night all!

    Hi all,

We've completely moved in to our new property! (We still have some stuff at the old property that needs to go. Unreliable buyers are not turning up for collection of things they promise to buy and it's really cheesing me off.)

Move went pretty well but the hired van has been tricky to start which is proving a pain and I think the exhaust on my car is rattling.

Today we need to buy some curtains and to go to the coup/tip with all our wombled packing boxes.

  • Morning all :hello: glad you're in safe and sound ally I'm staggered by the number of people who say they are going to turn up and not bother. I once drove 30 miles twice to collect so,etching and buyer wasn't in when she said she was. And just blatantly lied that she was when I messaged her. I don't get it

    My list for today:
Picked 4 red tomatoes from window sill put and put in fridge :D
Gifted stewed plums from freezer in porridge that I froze in portion size pots :A
    Check banking, surveys and FPL
    Meatballs from freezer for tea
    Coffee for commute
LO pasta for lunch, snacks of fruit and piece of hm Madeira cake to work
    Made DD lunch box
Sorted washing, one item in airing cupboard that's still a bit damp. Rest away no ironing form two loads :T
DD at an after school club for free

Right must get on. Enjoy your day everyone.
