Morning all
Hope you will both be happy in your new home Ally
Today's plans include:
NSD - OH will be spending a bit but I have got in a right muddle with trying to account for him as well for 'SFDs' on the September threadNot spent anything, and don't *think* OH has either!
HM meals from stores - planning to make fajitas for dinner todayDone, made do with what we already have rather than buying extra trimmings etc. Had these with salad, used HG cucumbers, rocket and tomatoes
Make a stew to take away with us on Thursday, we are having a few days camping with DD and family. Last camping of the season, must remember to take lots of warm socks and hot water bottle  Stew is in the SC, again, using what I have - found oxtail in the freezer, not cooked this often, but can't see why it shouldn't be ok. Used up lots of bendy veg, plus some leeks from the garden
Finish drying the washing I put out yesterday On airer
Dog walks - free exercise I did the morning one, OH did this afternoon while I was cooking
Some cleaning Oops, not done
Did however do a larder inventory and :eek::eek: there is so much in there. I have made a wise choice not to make preserves this year, as there are plenty needing using up! Only exception is jam, might have to make some of that at some point, will use frozen raspberries. All tidy and organised now though, and it will all get used
Start making lists for what we need to take away with us Not yet
Check banks Nor this
Check for surveys A few for onepoll so far
RM survey tasks Done
OH did the ironing :A Mind you, it was all his stuff, so why not
OK, coffee to finish then get on! Hope everyone has a good day0 -
Afternoon all, another day another dollar...
Lunch was a YS sandwich and some crisps, I have grapes to snack on, they were full price so went for green ones instead of my favourite red ones as these were 50p cheaper.
Dawn's post has just reminded me that we have a chicken breast in the freezer still and half a pack of fajita mix so fajitas it is for dinner tonight!
I've snaffled a couple more books and brought in a bag to carry them home in.
A FB buyer is coming to collect something tonight for all of two quid but it's MY two quid!
I've managed another PA survey today so I'm over payout threshold as soon as they are approved.
I need to pop out to buy tights for work next week which won't be cheap but are definitely needed.
Have a good day all!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
Hi Tuesday Savers,
Quite a good morning for keepng busy & a bit of frugal stuff too:
*Did this week's last load of laundry overnight on cheap tariff. It's almost dry outside on the line so won't need to use heated airer.
*With the 'use it up rather than pay for more' ethos in mind, I've made a big pan of spicy chickpea stew for dinner tonight, plus there'll be 2 portions to freeze for another day. This has used up some of our home grown tomatoes, courgettes, pepper & chillies, as well as a quarter jar of ancient dried chick-peas, which I used up instead of buying a tin. Will serve with couscous.....another ingredient where the last bit in a jar has been standing there for rather a long time & could do with using.
*Rounded up 6lbs of pears & turned them into a big batch of lovely sticky pear chutney. I prioritised windfalls & also smaller imperfect fruits so as to save the best ones for eating as fresh fruit. Still have tons of them, so will have to look out containers & make some compote for freezing.
*Made tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Did quite a lot of surveys.....a few Onepoll & loads of Toluna quick clicks.....they are speedy to do while you can't go far because you have to keep stirring a pan.
*Knit.......am halfway down the foot on this nice pair of socks I'm making for my sales basket. I have to go out to a meeting tonight, so shan't get as much done as usual, but after I've got all the prep done for that, I think I will be able to fit a bit of knitting in before I go. Hope so, anyway. Feel I need to do something different to try & get the smell of boiling vinegar & pears out of my nostrils!
*Had a quick walk down the garden to see what needs picking. I think it can all wait another day, actually. I want to let the rest of the chillies & peppers ripen, then I can snip them off & compost the plants. I have enough basil to do another batch of pesto, lots of rocket & there are more courgettes ready. Looks like a few more corn on the cob need testing for ripeness too.
OK, must go & get my paperwork together for this meeting, then the kettle can go on & the knitting needles are allowed out.

Whoppie 2nd day off of the weekAlthough I have my dreaded dental work today. Feeling a little nervous but know it will be fine.
Things to do:
*[STRIKE] have read newsletter[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* put a load of hokey cokey on & will hang out when done[/STRIKE] Arghhhhh! Haven't been able to hang it out as WM on the blink! It just wouldn't spin out the water. Have to investigate whether to get a new one or this one fixed. This one cost £50 2nd hand 5 years ago.... An expense I could do without though!
*[STRIKE] Going to the allotment for a few hours after dropping madam off. Will take a flask with me. Lots of digging and weeding again today so that's my exercise needs sorted :money:[/STRIKE] hoeing and clearing up for about 45 mins this eveningAfter the bed it really has felt like I've worked hard today!
*[STRIKE] power walk home and to school [/STRIKE] and to the dentist & ballet. Definitely did about 30 mins Power walking today
*[STRIKE] check meal plan and get anything needed out of freezer[/STRIKE]
* go and get some new tyres - thank goodness for budgeting!
* make cookies for madam
*[STRIKE] lunch is BNS, turnip & apple soup got out of the freezer yesterdaywith 2 crusts that nobody else will eat....[/STRIKE]
* decide what I'm doing with apples and pears given to me from a neighbouring allotmentier the other day
* see if I can pick up magazine in the newsletter for the benefit lipstick :money:
* take up trousers, listen to audio book and generally relax after dentist
[STRIKE]* putting the bed up - mattress is a bit of a logistical headache as it is a rolled one, which can take up to 72 hours to completely inflate but we don't really have enough room for our mattress as well in the meantime! Kicking the can to tonight....[/STRIKE]
* nip to neighbourhood store and see if I can pick up old baking tray for making the beeswaz wrapsdidn't do this as unexpectedly I didn't have the root canal today. Am booked in for an hour appt in a few weeks  went round the chazzas in town instead as I was there
* parked for free in Sains for 2 hours
* clean bathroom sink & toilet, vacuum stairs & hallway, clean bathroom window and shower screen
* list a few things on fleabay. Dig out 3 more to photo
* picked 300gms raspberries which I have washed and put on a tray in the freezer. I need 1kg to make raspberry & prosecco Jam that I want to make for xmas gifts - currently now have 500/600gms
Ok that'll do! Happy hump day
change of plan. Decided to put the bed up by myself - my son commented a few months ago when I asked him to put up some shelves that I always used to do this stuff myself, and he's right, I've definitely deskilled myself since being with oh (I was on my own for a decade so had to learn to do odd jobs!). My miniature status makes it hard though!DF as at 30/12/16

Morning All!
Big one is at nursery, little one is having a nap (already! )
Tonight's tea is y/s lamb kebabs from the freezer, with more wonky potatoes & salad left from last night. Madam took left over quiche for dinner today! Might have sold our spare wardrobe to a friend. Need to check bay of e to see how my bits and bobs are doing. Not too much planned for today!0 -
Morning all
We are going away for a long weekend tomorrow, so today is mainly about getting everything together ready for that:
Ham joint in oven to take with us
Apple cake baked and ready
Ice packs in freezer
Oxtail stew in SC
Also cut up and froze a cabbage and a pack of lemons which would otherwise go off before we get back  The only annoying thing about Lidl is that you have to buy a pack of things like lemons and garlic, instead of just one, as you can in Sainsburys.....
Peeled and sliced the one home grown (huge) apple left after using others for the apple cake, also a pear which something had nibbled, and picked today's raspberries, and they are all currently in the dehydrator. No food waste here
Load of washing which I shall peg outside in a minute
Still to do:
Check what is in the van, and what still needs to go in - make a list!
Pack clothes, warm ones, and hot water bottle
Also lots of warm bedding
Decide what we need to buy at the supermarket, not much!
Hope everyone has a good day0
