Hello
I am new to posting on this websiteand was wandering if someone can help me? I sent a letter to GE money requesting a list of charges etc and received a letter back of Ge money saying the following
Thank you for your letter dated 15th April 2009. Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding.
You have requested a list of default charges levied to your Dorothy Perkins account over the last 6 years an I list below the charges applied.
09.01.06 Late Payment Fee £15.00
09.02.06 Late Payment Fee £15.00
Unfortunately, due to systems issues, I have been unsuccessful in retrieving statement data for the following months. However, this will be taken into consideration when making any calculations for a refund where applicable.
2003: August
2004: May, June, July, September, October, November, December
2005: January, February, March, May
Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me on 0870 125 2545
Yours sincerely
Greg Strother
Has anyone else had this kind of response? I dont know what to do now. I know for a fact I was being charged more or less every month for being late and reckon they probably charged me in excess of £500.00.
I am no expert on this situation as I have never heard of this before, so I would suggest you write to them recorded delivery and suggest the system is fixed and they send you the information you are entitled too.
Or
You could claim for a fee for each month and see what they say?
I have followed these threads for mths and never came across this at allIf I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0 -

I think you need to send another letter back stating that they have not complied with the Data Protection Act 1998 and so if they haven't responded with the information by 40 days then you will complain to the Information Commissioners Office.0 -
I have successfully reclaimed my HSBC bank charges (full settlement 2 years ago), and my credit card charges from Barclaycard (full settlement), Homebase (Half back), Debenhams, (full settlement after using ombudsman) and Lloyds (full settlement after using ombudsman), however Egg are not playing ball.
It has now been 5 months since I first requested my statements from them, using the correct template letter and enclosing a cheque. Via the egg money website I have kept in constant contact with them asking every couple of weeks how my request is processing. In their replies they apologise and say they are still no closer to sending them out due to the 'high demand' for this service.
Can I contact the information ombudsman? I'm not sure what to do next. How have other people got on with Egg? I was one of the many customers with Egg and had my account closed, and since then they are totally uncooperative?0 -

For your information, received exactly the same letter offer from MBNA, didnt know what to do, if to accept or continue, had a look on other peoples forums/threads and the general idea was that most other people had successfully claimed the whole amount. So with this mind sent off the next letter and stone me, a couple of weeks later received a full reimbursement of ALL charges. fantastic.
So in short, continue, keep going. what you got to lose ?
Im still waiting to hear from mbna, they said they would write to me within 14days, tomorrow is the 13th day, shall i prepare my next letter or give them some more time?0 -

Hi Everyone !
This is my first time writting on the forum so apologises if I am using the wrong thread etc.
Basically I was looking for some help and advise on my credit card agreements.
12+2 days ago I posted letters with £1 postal order enclosed to Barclaycard, Egg, Mint asking for my credit agreement.
I have received a reply only from Barclaycard and now seek advise to what my next step should be ?
I cant attached the letter so I have typed it below. I got this letter and also the standard Barclaycard terms and conditions leaflet photocopy which didnt have my name, address, signature, basically nothing in specific information related to myself. Just the general leaflet on Credit agreement regulation by the consumer credit act 1974.
