:D:D:D:D:D:DTHANKS MARTIN!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Provider: Barclaycard
Amount Reclaimed: £251.09
Amount they paid: £251.09
The story:
Summarized in my signature, I just used the templates on this site. Really really easy, its just a matter of collating the charges and putting them in the interest calculator, then asking the credit card provider for the money, at first nicely and then more firmly. There is so much encouragement and advice on these boards, so many people to help and motivate everyone, there is really no excuse! Write those letters people and let the financial institutions know we do bite back!
All the best,
Gale

Egg Credit Card Charges
Final letter saying they will not pay, took them to the financial ombudsman and they have offered £520 plus £131 interest as an alternative to a formal investigation by the FOS. So goes to show we should all take it as far as we can. No luck with Egg PPI though, FOS say they cannot uphold my complaint0 -
Bank: MBNA
Amounted claimed: £1987.93
Amounted received: £1987.93
I can't believe it. I managed to claim all of my fee's back. I went through the whole process on this website and got offered 25% of my claim, which I accepted as part payment, but threatened with court action if I didn't get the rest. About 6 days after the 14 day limit of this letter I received another letter from MBNA stating they will send me a cheque for the rest!!! Didn't even have to go to court!!! Advice peeps with MBNA. They don't reply dead on the 14 day limit, just wait a week or so before issueing court proceedings. They seem to send letters out after. Saved my the court fee's.
Thanks everyone on this site. Now going to tackle Barclaycard.GM Credit Card balance - £895.69Mortgage - £67499.17 - MFiT no. 123Make £10 a day - April 2008 - £158.75/£3000 -

Provider: MBNA
Amount Reclaimed: £504.00
Amount they paid: £504.00
The story:
I sent the first template letter from this site and didnt hear anything from MBNA. I followed up with the second reclaim template letter.
I got a cheque for £160.00 which was the difference between my £20 charges and the £12 they are now allowed to charge. I was happy with this and pocketed the cash. I then received a second letter from MBNA saying that they wanted to maintain our good relationship and they paid up another £344.00 to my delight. Obviously, there was a delay in their initial response, but then they've taken receipt of my second letter as me being unhappy. I couldn't be happier with the outcome!
Thank you to this man once again :money: Cheers bud!MSE - The Stig0 -

The story: Started my claim in October, using the template letters on this site. After a couple of very standard fob-off letters from BarclayCard, I received my credit card statement and they have refunded everything that I had claimed for, albeit in three random amounts. Capital One
Claimed £950 plus interest
Recieved £ 1226 :rotfl:
After using the template letter i had a Final Response with offer of £324 the difference between original charges and the " accepted" £12 charge.
Lodged claim online with the Financial ombudsman service at the end of august 07.Although it has taken 4 months i must say the FOS were brilliant in terms of regular updates on the case.Cap one have accepted no liability but rather than an official investigation they opted to settle in full with interest.
Thanks to this site and all the inspiration from fellow claimers.0 -
Provider: Natwest
Amount Claimed: £762
Amount Paid: £962
Recently (August) helped my elderly parents claim bank charges back for a few years. They were very happy with the final sum they were offered as it was more than they thought they were owed.
Natwest were considerate due to my parents ill health, and quite sympathetic. One letter did it. Thanks0 -

The story
had all statements so letter 1st letters sent 29th October. Negative reply so 2nd letter sent, Again negative reply so 3rd letter sent advising I would file online court claim. Hadnt even got around to that and got a letter saying they would make a decision by 14th December. So I asked if they can transfer the amount to my bank account which should be within the next 3 -5 working days. Also asked about the Barclaycard account which they had already credited with the over £12 charges and they are going to refund the full amount plus interest equalling £519.48.
