I used to really love the First Direct advert with the walking Platypus and beatboxing bird.

But then they released the 'Little Frill' adverts which really used to wind me up. Haven't seen it for a few years though and still hope I don't.

I didn't mind the Halifax ads. certainly more imaginative than the current crop of bank adverts,

The main reasons he appeared are

1) Sales went up markedly when he appeared in an advertising campaign

2) He was cheap compared to a celebrity

On the converse I really do 'like' the 'Get the inside out' mental health adverts from Lloyds.

Quite powerful.
