Ask friends to save used ones for you, or put a box near recycling place with note on - most people who recycle will be happy to put them in the box as they are being recycled by you then anyway. If this fails asda/sainsburys etc have the cheap curry sauce in jars - ranging from 4p - 9p a jar - buy lots, use the sauce and reuse the jars - very cheap. If you want smaller ones asda do a smart price mint sauce very cheap - freeze the mint sauce and use jars. Much cheaper than any you can buy, just make nice fabric or paper covers for lids.:D0

I have the opposite problem, I have loads of spare jars, I can't bear to put them in recycling box as they're so useful! Anyone want some?I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead

as a thought, try a independant cooks shop or household/housewares shop, not lake land, because they are mega expensive. i was in an independant cooks shop in devizes last week, and they had jars and bottles that were very cheap.0

Try your local pick your own fruit farm. The one I go to encourages people to bring along empty jars, which they leave out for anyone wanting to make jams/chutneys etcComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0

Hi
Our charity shop never wastes anything and have a basket outside full of glass jars so it might be worth asking at yours
