Hiya BartGirl..... considering the constant 'battles' u seem to have with OH, u are surprisingly upbeat, which is good to see....
Using a bit of shower gel etc is nothing, but using loads of ur treats is not really fair, esp as u've scrimped hard to pay for them! And to not even offer to buy some more... I love his 'ur the part-timer' attitude as well - NOT!
I'm lucky that my OH only likes Radox, so doesn't use my Liz Earle (treats that he bought for Xmas).... what he doesn't realise is that he has been using Sainsburys own for the last year (does he not notice its the same bottle over and over again!?!:D )
How is ur money stash coming along? Ooops, just spotted it in ur sig
I agree with Affordmylife, I will always have a money stash somewhere that OH doesn't know about..... much as I love him, and want to be with him, u never know whats gonna happen and I have a child to think about too!
U seem like a really strong person, and u deserve to have the break once u have deposit money saved
Take care of yourself and ur son...

Bartgirl, I'm sorry if I am going over old ground here but I have not read your thread fully and so do not know if you have accessed any specialist support in dealing with the domestic abuse you are living with however I was directed here by a member of this community who thought the information I posted on another thread may be useful here too.
If you or anyone reading this thread is interested to access or learn more about the many different areas of support offered to women and children, including outreach services, the freephone national helpline is 0808 2000 247. There is also a domestic abuse directory on www.womensaid.org.uk that provides contact details for local services.
I wish you well for the future, it sounds like you have achieved a great deal inspite of the barriers you face, and come such a long way already.
Oh, and my tip for keeping his hands of the good stuff in the bathroom? Transfer it to an empty bottle of cleaning solution (thoroughly washed out beforehand of course). It isn't often a bloke will reach for the Flash bottle to wash his nether regions :eek:Domestic Violence and Abuse 24hr freephone helpline for FEMALE TARGETS - 0808 2000 247.
For MALE TARGETS - 0808 801 0327.
Free legal advice on WOMEN'S RIGHTS - 020 7251 6577.
PM me for further support / links to websites.0 -

I've finally sat down :j
Yesterday ended up staying late at work and had to be up early this morning so have been tired alot..
Still not unpacked the tins etc from aldipure laziness..thats all!
I've decided that due to this month's general state of skintness - i shall try and concentrate on my home. Its in a bit of a state - needs deep cleaning bascially - and general decluttering. So i've decided to make a list of each area i wanna tackle each week. This should help me concentrate on 1. forgetting how skint i am and 2. decluttering=ebaying!!and 3.keeps me away from shops !!!!
Tomorrow the Ebay item gets collected in the morning then i'm off to ikea. I've estimated £35 spend. I'll have to check my balance online before i go and i feel a little bit nervous cos i know this is a 'tight' month. Worst case scenario, i'll dip into my savings..
Tonight we've had lamb chops, roast pot's and yorkshire puds.Still sticking to the meal plan - which has truly made a huge difference to my lifestyle..
While i was tidying up the house; the food was cooking. Then had DS in the bath, and whilst he splashed away - i managed to clear some shelf space for towels - got some stuff out of there that'll go on Ebay tomorrow :T

was just reading your posts with interest and got to the bit where you were saying about OH using all your toiletries....well thought I would share a funny little story with you to give you a laugh as you could prob do with one. I once had a boyfriend who was really really tight with money to point where he would ask me to go buy him a drink from shop Id go off get it feeling sorry for him having no money only to come back to find hed only asked me cos didnt want to break into a £5 note, etc etc.....anyway one time I left my expensive shampoo and conditioner at his house, didnt think anything of it as he was bald so no use for shampoo and conditioner you may think,......I went back a few days later to find he had used the lot...I was very puzzled and bit angry, do you know what he had done with it????? Shampooed his hairy chest and he had the cheek to tell me it had come up lovely and his chest was now lovely and smooth! Grrrrr0
