    Hi BartGirl,

I wish you well and as others have said you are growing with confidence and will make the break one day, when you are ready, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Just remember when your OH makes any comments about your son picking up bad habits from you, the habits your son will pick up from you will be to work hard to feed his family when he grows up. He certainly won't pick up that habit up from his father.

You are a wonderful role model for your son and he is a very lucky little boy to have you as his mum. Like others on here I read your thread with admiration and believe in you.

Sorry to hear about ebay, but even there you just keep plugging away. Take care, hope the cold improves soon

Yes I have - i shall try speak to them once he's out of the way. He'll be home all week till Mon

Ebay has disappointed me with only 2 items selling despite having loads of watchers ?????? i think its cos there's been so much footie on this afternoon...only made 20 squid ..am gutted..have relisted anyway.

Hi BartGirl, been updating myself on your post today (should have been Ebaying, but that's another story ). I am so glad to see you growing in confidence like others have said. Now if you could just extend your right leg over to South London to give me a kick up the  , then I might just, possibly, get the things done that I need to :rotfl:

I've never been in your situation but I would imagine that the womens' aid would be able to help you when the time comes for you to tell him, even requesting Police assistance if you are still scared. Despite the fact you have very little family nearby, you still have us if you need help.

When you stop cringing is when he'll realise he has no power over you.

You hang in there girlie, you are doing so well :j:j

Definately. And physically as well as emotionally - you ever need bodies where you are for any reason in the future, you let us know? I'll be there, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
:D Make a list of important things to do today. At the top, put 'eat chocolate'. Now, you'll get at least one thing done today. :D

Thanks everyone for your kind words.

Its been a busy week so far.

Mon OH agreed to have DS for the day which was good cos
1.meant didnt have to pay for childcare, and
    2. its the first time since he was born, that his dad has had him for a Full Day. It went well for the 2 of them - after all DS is a v. easy going child, and once i got home i still had to cook, tidy up etc. I decided to go 'veggie' and made cauliflour cheese for a change. A friend had given me some food to add to it so it was a fish meal with that.
On Tue I was working from midday-ish so i was up bright n early, and did laundry, cleaned the entire kitchen, made lunch for OH and DS, made dinner for us for when i come home. Fed DS lunch and got him ready for childcare. Collected my 1st freecycle items on way to childcare. Yippee!! Dropped DS off, then went to work! Needless to say OH remained in the flippin land of nod the entire time. Despite the fact that OH had sweet f.a.to do all day - he was late picking up DS - which really irritates me. I got just after 9pm and made a lovely salad with sweetcorn, lettuce, feta cheese, carrots, tomatoes. OH had eaten all the avocados that i'd bought and hadnt had a chance to taste..they were meant for the salad. So we had that with the food i'd cooked earlier: Rice and lobby.

Since I'd had poor ebay sales, OH asked me to sell one of his gadgets on there for Buy It Now. He's made just under £100 on it, and promised me that he needed £50 of that, but i can keep the rest!! The buyer paid immediately, but OH being who he is hasnt bothered posting the item - and said he wouldnt until it cleared out of paypal into the bank account. I tried explaining how paypal etc all works but its in one and out the other. So i've given him £20 from the sale of that. Its temporarily gotten him off my chest - for the time being.

I'm shattered today cos did extra hours yesterday. Although I'm basking in my March achievements so far:
    • managed on filling my car with petrol just once (full tank) - its lasted the month
    • spent v.little at work this month - although an extra £1.20 yesterday and today cos the (free) water machine's broken so had to buy cans instead.
    • Have money in my account!!! :j
    • Have survived on the meal plan arrangement and although there's little food in the house - there's enough for meals till payday! :T
I've also made an appt to see my GP next week so that i can get a referral to a counsellor. Also went through the Womens Aid website. Have decided i'll call them next week once OH has returned to work - he's hanging around at the moment..

    Ebay £ 10.00 /MystShop £ 17.00/Quidco £ 0 so far!
  • Hi Bartgirl you are doing really well.. I'm also glad you are going to see the doctor about a counsellor and also going to contact the Womens Aid. All steps in the right direction and they are all rational decisions that will take you were you want to be.

Day's started off good so far
    • ebay item collected so tenner paid in cash
    • cheque not come out of account so may end up with cash at month end!
I hope i get paid on Sat cos it'll mean can do budgeting early and bill payment early too. Fingers crossed.

Have also decided wont be going anywhere today cos petrol at all-time-low at the moment and started 'flashing'.

Had Bad News from COuncil Tax people. I still owe them roughly £800 from the last financial year. Add roughly £1300 to that for the coming financial year, and i'll end up paying them about £200 a month to square it all  am not pleased. Was banking on overpayments to my CCs and provident to get then out of the way asap. Now looks like it wont happen..am gutted

    Toaster has died now.

Off to do housework me thinks - take my mind off things..
