Hadn't really given it much thought until I saw this thread so had a count-up and found we probably have far too many!
Two huge bath sheets that we don't use (too heavy) but they come in handy when flat-drying handknits
15 large bath towels - tbf I did inherit some of these from late DF - that all get used in rotation
4 thin bath towels that I use for drying my hair
9 hand towels
Several face cloths, all white
Plus 6 small hand towels for the kitchen
We really don't need any more, do we?Be kind to others and to yourself too.0 -
I have only one towel for each bathroom0

The bath sheets at Holiday Inn Berlin were so fluffy I could barely shut my suitcase.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I think we have 6 bath sheets and 6 bath sheets - could be more that me and dh use
There is another 10 or more plus hand towels galore stashed away which are for the other bathrooms when we have guests
I am actively looking for some nice new ones. There nothing wrong with the ones we have, I just want to get new colours lol
We both use a bath sheet and a bath towel each. I like the sheets as like Personone, they fit all the way around and can be tucked snugly in and I prefer the bath towel for my hair
I don't buy flannels, prefer muslin clothes as they are easy to rinse under the hot tap and left to dry and boil up beautifully
Now if we want to talk about sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers, Ive enough to open a shop0 -

You sound like me, except I only do white. For bedding and towels.
Next towels are lovely, I have next and M&S.
For bedding, I’ve recently discovered loaf & I’ll be buying more!
I buy house of Fraser fitted sheets, as they are the only ones I’ve found deep enough. I’ve got some great 800 thread count ones from them, had them years, still like New, they’ll last years and years.0 -

My last lot of bedding was HOF, blue cross sale, I ended up paying 20% of the original price - bargain, and they are like silk they are that lovely
right now Im snuggled in my Northern Nights brushed cotton. Their fitted sheets have deeper pockets again.
My trouble is Ive a zillion sets of singles and only 3 single beds lol. But they are too good to give to charity if you know what i mean
I have to avoid bedding departments. I love good quality bedding0 -
i refuse to buy bath sheets. One wash and they threw my washer out of balance and i could only wash one towel at a time. I did have several but gave them to my daughter when she moved out (dont think she's fond of them either). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I’ve got a northern nights set too, not brushed cotton though, but a high thread count. I like sheets cool and crisp.
Yes gotta love a blue cross sale :-)0 -

Mine are enormous (I think 2 meters long) & pretty thick, the good next ones. I’ve never had any problems with them in the washer or dryer.0 -

How do you cope with one bath towel each though? what happens while it's in the wash?
It's an old thread but I just saw I didn't answer this.
I wash the towels in the morning after OH and I have showered so they won't normally be needed for another 24 hours. In the warmer months that's plenty of time to dry them on the washing line, but if I'm honest I always at least start them in the dryer to fluff them up. In winter, I dry them fully in there. Near a radiator, they'd air dry inside in 24 hours if we needed them to. It probably helps that we're all very predictable with showering and baths!0
