....replanted several self-seeded plants for free ones next year,

I love my strawberry babies and my mum sent me seeds from a flower that used to grow in my grannies garden, they self seed too.

This week was a fail so far excessive wise (halfhearted AMT on Monday, had to get off the spin bike on Tue, just couldn't, half decent but very short run on Wednesday, nothing yesterday) BUT epic run today :D, totally buzzing even. If I could just determine what make the difference.

ETA: My OH usually works away part of the week, so doesn't have this. When he is around he gets up anything up to an hour after me - by which time I've done most things. I also do prep the night before for school mornings - I don't know how I'd manage without. I think he just sees it as that means he can spend more time in bed, as he's not required to help....

Spend day today, so still on # 14 (I think). Happy with that.
Meals planned for the week and a broccoli soup ready for tonight, until someone decides they are allergic to soup on Fridays. Y'know, kids.

Found out that super cheap muesli when combined with a handful of desecrated coconut (tm) and raisins and sugar and 2 tablespoons of oil, when baked for 15 mins makes a very nice granola for half the price and much nicer too. Kids suddenly moved on to porridge for breakfast. Much cheaper than cereal.

Returned to gym - 500 cals on the stepper this morning. No ill effects from yesterday's saddle.

Me time - reading in the car whilst waiting for kids. Being in the gym. That is all.

    Gratitudes
    IT'S FRIDAY!!
    Beautiful sunny Autumn day
A madly multicoloured sycamore seed flying past my head - red and orange stripes. Like being stalked by a tree tiger.
DH who is lovely even though I could strangle him half the time
    Pantry full of food
Only Connect on tv tonight (BBC2 8.30)
Plenty of DIY jobs which will cost £0.00 over the weekend.

SFDs - still 11/18 - not one today - bought DD some much needed underwear - but did manage to get it @ 20% off, then a further 10% off and then I had a free reward voucher for £2 - and paid on my store card for reward points towards more vouchers :)

Extra monies/ debt repayment - None.

    Food - running total £304.26/ £450

Eating up/ using up stuff - used all the hotel/ airline shower gels and handwashes my mum gave me yesterday to top up handwash pump bottle in downstairs loo (again - we get through a lot of soap in that loo as it's the one used the most!)

Lunches taken - 3 packed lunches for boys today. But fail in that DD and I had a takeaway pasty lunch whilst in town

    Social life - None today

    Exercise - 3/3

    Beauty - £4.73/ £10

    Time for self - Hmmm....

    Heating off - yep.

    Gratitudes:
    * time spent with DD today
    * using reward vouchers before they expired next week
    * swapping 2 bags of raggy clothes for 2 £5 off vouchers from H&M
    * not succumbing to a takeaway tonight - had toast and marmalade instead!
    * another load of washing line dried (not sure how long I can keep it up for)

    Check in #22/30
    NSDs still on 13/18

Budgets - Groceries should come in close to, if not under, budget and we have plenty in the cupboard/fridge/freezer to carry forward.
Spending looks massively over especially after being under for a number of months.
Back to Uni&School has skewed spending with the outlay on "stuff" needed now - stationery, revision guides ( both A levels & GCSEs),
I've also stocked up on some craft materials to see us through the darker evenings.

Food sorted from what was in but have made a start on next weeks menu whilst I was in town - children have been asked to request their favourite meals for later in the week. Gives my brain a rest from thinking of options that everyone will eat.

Planned Me time over the weekend is meeting up with a friend for a catch up minus children!

Spendy day yesterday on chocolate. Nothing else. I'm now away for my sister's birthday weekend. She'd provided food from a kitty we paid it to for dinner last night and we brought our own drinks. Tonight will be spendy as we're out for dinner but breakfast is already in the fridge :) I'm hoping for lots of steps and lots of swimming today, yesterday I did about 16,000 :)

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

  • Today I am - already! - grateful for balm tissues, homemade lemsips, 10 hours sleep, cancelling my travel plans, dh taking dd to dance and - most of all - having an abundance. The food from dd's Harvest Festival goes to a local foodbank and I am so grateful that we are nowhere near being in need of using one.
