Today I am grateful for a quiet day, for not being overambitious with how much shopping I could carry home, for my neighbour the bus driver being the bus driver on the bus I caught home, for really not being tempted by all the things in the shops (only aldee and icyland, mind!) that were not on my list, for Time Team on the telly as I sewed, for a much needed sort and clear with dd of clothes and shoes and coats, for my attempt at fish pie being quite edible, for the prospect of not having to wake up at 6 tomorrow.

  • Check in 8/30

Spendy day today - took out £40 shopping money for the week. Spent £32 so have £8 for veg later on in the week.

Had to get an urgent gp appt this morning as have a lovely flare up of eczema on my face. I wouldn't mind so much if I could cover it up but no, big, red flare up merging into an oncoming rosacea flare! Got a new emollient to try and steroid cream. I'm having a serious grump!

Have a guest changover to do tomorrow then a couple of one nighters. My 7 night guest has cancelled which leaves a bit of a hole. I wanted to get as many nights filled as possible as I've blocked 2 weeks out for my op. Hopefully that's enough. If the nights don't get filled again maybe I can get on with the sorting that needs doing :rotfl:

    Anyway, no exercise.

Me time has been listing on eBay.

    Heating not on yet :D

    Looking forward to the weekend

Spendy days today and yesterday so no NSDs to report, still on 5? (must check). Working double shifts tomorrow and Sunday so hoping for NSDs both days.

Went for a run this morning, that was my me time for today.

Heating still not on although it felt pretty chilly when I got up this morning. Thrifty I already have bother getting clothes dried in the flat without the heating on but I'm just trying to time my washes with dry days so that the clothes can line dry.

SFD number 6 today. I've done 12000 steps and I'm so pleased it's Friday!

New roof and car £8557/£19003 New kitchen £396/£5039 Credit card Paid Student loan Paid
  • Late check in 8/30. Lunch to work 6/21. No SFD today as it was my turn to pay for coffee. Annoyingly I forgot to buy the cards I needed so will have to do that tomorrow so that's another day lost. Ah well, it is very small amounts being spent, eg £5 today. Oh, £12 for window cleaner.
No exercise today. Me time just vegging out, hope that's ok, it is Friday.
Heading into the weekend quite chilled out which is good for a Friday.
Meal plan being followed. We always meal plan, and mostly follow it, but the past few months we have not being checking it in advance so find on the day we are missing a component of the meal. This month we are trying to forward plan and make sure we get everything we need for the week in one go, as far as possible. There is some flexibility in the plan so that if plans change we can adapt.

    Made it to Friday
Quiet weekend to look forward to
    Feeling happy.

  • yesterday was a spending day, although only on food shopping which is quite good given that I went on a very rare trip into the city centre. Nothing I needed or wanted more than I want to have some money left in the bank at the end of the month.

Steps ended up at over 22k, and my poor feet ache today.

    Morning all!

Not checked in but been reading.

Tuesday and Wednesday were NSDs :j

Thursday I had breakfast with my colleagues for a birthday at a cafe so that was £5

Yesterday I spent about £52 on a big shop in morrisons ready to batch cook lots this weekend. Just plugged my second freezer in ready for later. I also booked flights to Rome for next year using my holiday fund :j

My food cupboards are currently empty as I discovered some weevils yest :mad::( I have a double cupboard with all my food in (dry stuff in jars on bottom, tins and jars in middle and dried fruit, nuts and extra slices on top) then a single one next to it with excess stuff that doesn't fit in the jars and my tubs of protein shakes.

So I found a cluster of weevils next to the protein shakes and a few crawling on the side but didn't appear to be any in the tubs. There was some open pasta and oats in there as well. Couldn't see weevils in those. Emptied whole cupboard and chucked everything out and washed it down. The main cupboard I only saw about 10 in and they don't appear to be in any of the jars etc. I binned the open stuff and hope its ok. All the contents are currently in the dining room as I have sprayed a load of raid in the cupboards and kept them closed for the day to fumigate. Will do daily inspections in the other cupboard once it's back in and if I find anymore I will have to bin everything. Really hope I caught them in time though

Enough of the grossness! Today I'm going to do some painting outside and cut back the front garden. Everything is already dying and seems to have fungus on it, no doubt from all the rain :( then I'm having a massage. I have one each month now as really suffer with tension in my back. She is very good but it's not very relaxing! Then after I have dinner with friends which is my only social event planned until the end of the month. I'm not drinking until the last weekend so should only be around £25 for the meal.

Have a lovely day all
