    What is a SAR and why is it important in this case? I have just received the same letter. Thanks.
    SAR = Subject Access Request.

  • Hey, sorry I just figured since we're asking about exactly the same thing and are at exactly the same place with this whole thing, it made more sense to just stick it all in the same thread. I'm a forum novice thinking two birds one stone.

    No, not at all; except in really rare cases where all defences are the same (like the UKPPO Airport thread) the forum can't work like this.

  • Good Morning everyone,

    I have received another letter from BW legal informing me that my case has been put on hold for 30 days but then will recommence (i'm pretty sure it said with no further communication) I've still not heard anything back from my SAR request. So it looks like they are determined to go ahead with this one - am I right in thinking that my next steps are to research & prepare my defence?

    Thank you as always for any help received.

    BW always plough ahead. This is a pretty automated process. Get researching and planning. You have a good time after the claim is actually launched to prepare as well so there's no excuse.

    On which date did you send it. They have 30 days to respond. If the deadline has passed, then send them a chaser with a strict 7-day deadline. If then no response, report them to the ICO.
    Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

    I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Where did you send your SAR? I sent mine to dpo@armtracservices.co.uk and they replied within 24 hours.

    Replied with all the details? Or replied to say they were dealing with the request?

    I sent it through the post - probably a mistake?
