To double their 'costs' recovery, you mean! Not allowed, but sadly some Judges have not sussed that yet. We are getting there.

  • Thank you Coupon-mad!

All the help & guidance you guys give on here is really appreciated - as well as all the work you put in behind the scenes!!

It's appalling how these companies operate. I'll await their next letter!

    Thank you all again!
  • I'd like to thank you all also as I am at exactly the same point in the whole thing with this carpark. It's been years of "last letter" and "final warning"
  • Good Afternoon everyone,
I have now received a "letter of claim" which also includes a -
•Information Sheet - how to avoid court
•Reply sheet - various options as to owing / disputing
    •Income & expenditure form!
And a lot of literature which basically tells me it's for the best if I just pay immediately.

I am going to sit & plan a response over the weekend but was wondering if there is a template and if so would you mind printing me in the right direction.

    Many thanks in advance!

Not sure there is a template , you just tell them to place the matter on hold whilst you seek debt counselling advice , this will be refused

Do nothing with those forms , just start preparing for a court claim

Now is the time to email a SAR to the DPO at the PPC and attach a copy of the V5C or a recent redacted utility bill as proof of I D under the GDPR law , if it has not been done already, that is the important task when you get those forms , nothing else , just start preparing

The NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #2 is the most comprehensive advisory on how to deal with private parking court claims anywhere online. It covers everything you need to plan your actions and tells you how to deal with each stage.

This is now the business end of your parking charge and your success will be influenced by the amount of research and work you put into defending the claim.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Thank you so much for your help. I'll get onto requesting the SAR and go through the sticky with a fine tooth comb to make sure I'm prepared.

Thank you again I really appreciate all the help & guidance.

Avoid any template reply to a LBC or Letter of Claim (same thing).

  • What is a SAR and why is it important in this case? I have just received the same letter. Thanks.
