    hello all

feeling a bit mad as i spent ages late last night altering my CV to apply for a job just with the CV (the guardian website said that was how to apply) and finally went to bed just before 2. then this morning there is an email from them saying thanks for my interest and here is the application form.:mad::mad::mad::mad: felt very deflated.

had a long chat with OH last night about how i need to organise my time better as i am chasing my tail a lot at the moment. i will try to stay off here except in my breaks for one thing. today's list looks like this so far.

    [strike]assembly
phone florist[/strike] - guy out but have emailed
phone dress shop & make appt 5th nov so need to stop eating now!!!
    pay deposit for photos
phone & rearrange facial - out but phoning me back!
    confirm transport details.
email list to OH for invites
    2 job apps - 1 - 2
    finish writing part 1
    finish writing part 2
[strike]email friend with task for her to do
    speak to sister[/strike]
    speak to caroline
    [strike]empty dw
    s&s kitchen
    empty bins & recycling
    enquire about honeymoon cottage bedding[/strike]

right *deep breath* off to make those phone calls...

    Hiya
Thanks for everyones kind thoughts. Funnily enough i've done no flying today and am off to help at school now so will catch up later. Went to see my friend and had a chat with her. The nurses were all lovely and just said to talk to her as she might be able to hear. I was fine till I left but in typical debt free style I recycled my parking ticket as I don't agree with the charges there. Mind you, I think the man I gave it to might have thought I was on day release as I had tears rolling down my face sobbing would you like this ticket. At least I can laugh at myself. Very glad I went. Thanks again everyone xx

Just had a late coffee, and caught up with the posts. Weekly shopping for most of the morning, but at least there is now food in the house!

LDJ1 - was going to answer your earlier posts, but have just read that you went. I'm sure that your friend will have been aware on some level that you were there, and been comforted. (((hugs)))

kazmeister - very sorry to hear the news.

Michelle - how unprofessional! Take care of yourself.

I haven't done any flying yet, but as well as some paperwork to get sorted for a meeting this evening, I'll try and get the children's rooms done. Only a minimal amount of visible carpet in DD's already small room, so could do that with a dustpan and brush... I did the sort through of DS2's drawers yesterday when we were packing and searching for the cagoule that I know I bought him. Up at 5.15am to deliver him to Dover for his trip - so not likely to be very awake for the rest of the day!

Confession time - I'm wondering what on earth you all find to iron??? I iron practically nothing - OH does his own shirts, and I do my linen trousers. All the children's shirts are the sort I can shake and hang up straight from the tumbler, and I never buy anything that needs either dry cleaning or ironing. And no, I've asked a close friend, and she doesn't think I look permanently crumpled!! I do remember once visiting a friend ( prob when I was about 12) and being totally astonished that she ironed everything, including towels and knickers!!

Thanks for that ... I now need to clean the desk again as there's chocolate cake and coffee all over it and the screen :rotfl::rotfl:

DS2 at nursery, so I have till 2.30pm to myself! heyhey!

Realised i have not had a proper meal in over two days, been feeding kids, then feeding hubby, but I have been eating... tinned sweetcorn or a biscuit?

So, on the hob, pasta and a pot of mushrooms, red pepper, tin chopped toms, some puree, herbs and a dash of worchester.

Coffee at PC, will head to kids room about 2 to wash window, beds will be changed later on, its not worth doing anything down stairs as it needs done again after kids go to bed, so why spend time doing it now to re do it later when is not that bad right now anyway!

PLUS, DS2 is at nursery for respite for ME! I keep forgetting that!

I love flylady, my house is so easy to keep clean now (except my bedroom, which will get done, I promise...) and I am so much more relaxed!

Hubby came home last night and said 'wow, the kitchen is spotless, you been cleaning all day?' Now, me, I can't lie, ever, so I come out with 'hell no, it took me 30mins, and that was wiping down the cupboard doors, hoovering and mopping the floor and hoover dog-bots bed'. I should have said 'yes, and I'm knackered'!

Its making a huge difference, little by little its getting better every week. FLYlady should be made compulsory when you get your own house, then you would learn how to live clutter and mess and dirt free from the beginning!

LJD1.. I'm sure they guy was very grateful for the sticker and totally understood why you were upset.. if it had been me, I'd have said yes thank you and hugged you.. but I am just not quite normal apparently! I hugged my postie once.. or was it twice.. I forget.. he is probably still traumatised!!

Nicki .. I'm just making sure you have a relly clean monitor and keyboard!! lol

Tia.. I've just spent half an hour in the kiychen and it doesn't look any different.. I must be a pig on so many levels!!

OK, I take it all back, I did S&S kitchen and living room, didn't do the dishes as I'm eating so would be silly leaving one dirty dish, but guess how long it too me? Go on, guess!

    5 Minuets!!!

    Cool!

I feel great did I say that? I bring it up because a few months ago I was really down. Found it so hard doing everything. Now I know I can't seriously spend all day running about tidying, so most of it is left till 7pm when kids go to bed, and it's an hour of tidying and cleaning, but it means i don't feel so bloody !!!!ed off that I spent all day doing it over and over again. Day time is for cleaning the one room of the day, night time is for general tidying and it works.

Anyway, I sound so smug, so I'm going to surf for
[STRIKE]!!!!!![/STRIKE] bargains and [STRIKE]buy batteries[/STRIKE] eat my lunch!
