  • Ok, bedroom is now nice and tidy and vacuumed. Just waiting for the mattress cover to dry then I can make the bed.

    Wacky Wednesday - Bed room

    Level One
[strike]Vacuum the floor, even if it's just where you can see
    [strike] Tick
[strike]Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself!!!!! paint your nails, make an appointment to have your hair done, a lovely soak in the bath.. whatever you feel like!![strike] I trimmed my nails, but I'm not girlie so no polish. I did spend 30 minutes writing on my story. I'm making a book for my friends birthday, and I need to get on!
    Level Two
[strike]Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc[/strike] Tick
[strike]Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!![/strike] Tick
    Level Three
[strike]Strip beds, turn and vacuum mattresses!! and replace with fresh linen .. check if duvets need freshening up too!![/strike]Tick (well half a tick. Will be done when sheet dry)
Sort through a cupboard/chest of drawers and get the clothes out which are no longer wearable, too small or out of season!
[strike]Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors[/strike]Tick
    Extra Task List
    • 30 minutes ironing.. you love me & you know it!
    Daily Tasks:
    [strike]Dishes[/strike]
    Brush dog
    Walkies
    [strike]Clean yard[/strike]

    To do list:
    [strike]Washing[/strike]
Wash and vacuum car. Check oil etc.
Sort out the pile of [strike]junk[/strike] quality items that didn't sell at the boot sale.
Ring local paper and list some of ^^^ for sale. List rest on eBay.
Tackle my huge pile of ironing.
    [strike]Sort & tidy thru my bedroom drawers.[/strike]

Start packing for Fri, or at least write a list.
Get some plaster mix & fix hole in the kitchen wall (made by poochie!)

I don't think my house has ever looked so clean. Just my bathroom to clean (I hope that's on tomorrows agenda) then I can go away on my trip and know my house will be clean when I get back.

I'm sure he thinks I am having a "cyber-affair" with Martin!

You mean you haven't considered it???

I bet he is great to live with.. he is probably almost as [strike]tight[/strike] frugal as I am!! lol I tell my friends I am as tight as a nuns knicker elastic!! I don't pay full price for anything!! lol

AND it would mean we could ask him to sort out new house insurance etc and KNOW he would be getting the best possible deal.. I do EVERYTHING like that in here because my hubby hates anything to do with the finances.. so long as the bills are paid and he is fed I can do as I please.. sometimes it would be nice to delegate.

I know exactly what you mean about husbands and finances, pigpen..
Mine likes to think that he could take over, but then reality hits...hes useless when it comes to budgeting or being frugal/thrifty!

So, I've now tidied everything away, just about to dust and remake the bed.....it always takes longer than I think and there are always some things that you just don't know what to do with.

OK, bedroom now done. I'd love to say it looks lovely and tidy, but I've got a roll of carpet in there, a shower enclosure, 3 or 4 boxes of DH's stuff that I'd like to get in the loft and a box and a couple of bags of my things to get in the loft.......so , apart from that, I guess you could say it looks lovely and tidy!

Got to do the hoovering, wash floors downstairs and bass practise then going into town.

    Morning all.

Having a better day today - I was trolling around in the glumps yesterday.

OK. I've done all the bedrooms. My youngest DD is 22 so I don't have to do her toy box :D Her bed gets done on Thursdays when it's her day off work but I've turned it back to air. I've stripped my bed and washed it all (and one other load of washing) and it's all out on the line. Not bad weather so it might dry.

Turned mattress and vacuumed it and remade bed with all clean including clean under sheet that I use as a mattress cover.

Polished and dusted all bedrooms and vacuumed right through including landing and bathroom and toilet.

Cut the front grass and edged it and swept and then I polished living room and vacuumed right through downstairs. I usually manage to drop grass when I'm taking the mower through so it makes sense to vacuum after. Oh, and I remembered to do the stairs too, I normally forget.

I'm hoping to cut the back grass later if the washing dries in time, otherwise I'll do it tomorrow or Friday. When I've got bedding on the line it gets covered in grass if I'm not careful and it's better to take the rotary line out to cut the grass properly.

And I've prepared the veggies for lunch so I can sit here for another half an hour ;)

ALRIGHT - the only thing I'm going to say about my "thing" (and it's only cause I'm feeling like Scrooge post the Christmas spirits :rotfl: *giggle* ) is that, as long as it comes to fruition ( ), it will most definitely count as me time and take over an hour ;):D:D:D :rotfl::rotfl:

Right, off to hoover the bedrooms, clean the bathroom and strip our bed

MEANT TO ADD : Glad I'm not in my scruffs just yet (been sorting out paperwork and on the phone) a rather delish man has just come to read the meters  :rotfl::rotfl: Men that good looking should not be a meter reader :rotfl::rotfl: *giggle*
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Well.. I have vacuumed right through.. upstairs AND downstairs.. the girls room is revolting but Tiddles is off in there for a nap now so I'll have to kick everyone in there at the weekend for a mega clean and fling session.. I LOVE those.

I've eventually found the cinderella 3 disc so can erturn that to Video shop.. gggrrr it has been missing for weeks!

The boys room is just about habitable.

I'll do a S&S of the kitchen and then go for a shower.. and I'm done for the day.. though I usually get carried away in the shower and S&S up there too. I'll do a swifty bit of flinging in my room as well.. then get in bed knowing me.. lol.

I just fancy going out for a coffee.. wish I had someone I could ring and say come on let's go.. I hate being totally friendless days like this!!! (ok I have 2 friends who may as well live on the moon they are so far away)
