    Hiya
I've done most of the living room and will finish it off tomorrow. Don't need to do the dining room tomorrow as just decorated it so even we've not managed to trash it in 24 hours! Kitchen needs a good clean though.

Shattered today as done a hot stones course. It was brilliant and i've ordered my stones so can't wait for them to arrive so I can practice.

Right, off for an early night. Speak soon xx

 My friend's partner just said the same, he's also a decorator, don't I know it now!! More coats tomorrow!

Anyway, confessions of a horder, I need to do this, please don't all shoot me at once, this is how bad my grocery hording is bering in mind there is only 4 of us

I worked out what we will use in next 2 weeks from packet, dried and tinned foods, probably more than enough really but being aware that don't want to have to keep bringing it back. I started bagging the rest up to go in the car. I've filled 12 carrier bags and there is more to go. This includes so far 6 bags of tins, 2 huge bags of tubs and packets (full and unopened) herbs, spices etc, 2 bags baking ingredients (again full and unopened) 2 bags of cereals and beans. Oh I seriously need to stop this!
One day I might be more organised...........

More useless info my sister used to do the lights at the theatre and she told me the props people always painted out the old scenes with grey paint before painting a new scene.

More useless info my sister used to do the lights at the theatre and she told me the props people always painted out the old scenes with grey paint before painting a new scene.

We resorted to painting sets with PVA glue first when some "kind" person decided to use spray paints & glitter paints where were impossible to paint over  Oh the fun we had

Not got anything else done today. I have spent the day decluttering all those places that I never seem to get around to though so filled a binbag with bits and I'm happy :D

I think I might just stick to level 1 this week. Already warned DD that I want this whole house decluttered by Bonfire Night :D Tomorrow I'll tackle the kitchen (including a basic inventory of things like "mugs, plates, bowls" etc ;):p ) like the list should be ;) Will also clear out some stuff in the freezer/cupboard as OH is out at a meeting tomorrow night after work so tea will be in the slowcooker so lasagne it is :D

Right, off to play scrabble for 10 mins or so. See you all tomorrow

  • Hello everyone.

Thanks for all your congratulations messages - it's still really early days (only 6 weeks) but it's nice to be able to tell some people who unlike my mum won't go and tell everyone I know!! The doctor has booked me in for an early scan next Wednesday which has relaxed me a fair bit.

Congrats all the other expectant mums too (sorry I read through all the posts earlier and now have forgotten everyone's names!) Must try harder!!

Here's my list for today. It looks like I've done lots but I did a fair bit over the weekend!

Monday Mayhem - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1
[strike]Vacuum floors and sofas[/strike] Apart from where the dog is sleeping I didn't have the heart to move her
    Level 2
    [strike]Dusting, even if around everything
    [/strike]
[strike]Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe [/strike]
[strike]Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets[/strike]
[strike]Water any thirsty plants, wipe their poor neglected leaves!![/strike] DH's job
    Level 3
[strike]Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
    [/strike]
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
[strike]Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house![/strike] Done recently
[strike]Put up linings or winter curtains to keep out those draughts.[/strike] Don't have any winter linings
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • [strike]Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.[/strike] No paperwork in this part of the house!
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Clean a window or two. Did the inside of a couple might do some more tomorrow
    • Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    • Ring someone you love, just to tell them you love them!!
    Deep Clean Challenge
Clean light fittings, skirtings even the ones behind furniture. Clean fire-surrounds. Wipe sofa's down. Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!

    My List
Sew belts loops onto DH trousers (managed 1 last night - it may take a while to do them all!!)
Give the dog a decent groom & attempt to trim some hair!
Scan in as many photos as possible - aiming to make lots of photo books one day (done a fair few during the evening)
Find some stuff 2 put on Ebay / Amazon
Attempt to do yoga 3 times this week (did some this morning before work - 2 more times this week)

Now just need to get everything ready for work and then off to bed!

BTW I like you moving the days around coz I tend to tail off towards the end of the week so this way different rooms will get more attention!
