  • Oh no kitchen, I was hoping to put that off for a little while longer.

Have managed to remove everything from the lounge that shouldn't be there. It still needs a damm good clean, the striped floorboards have plaster on them, the window has plaster on it, the sofa covers are a total mess, I'm not sure whether or not I can even wash them and get them clean.

Monday Mayhem - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Vacuum [strike]floors[/strike] and sofas
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • Clean a window or two.
    • Ring someone you love, just to tell them you love them!!
    Deep Clean Challenge
Clean light fittings, skirtings even the ones behind furniture. Clean fire-surrounds. Wipe sofa's down. Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!

Terrible Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Clean floors
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. an old toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    • Clean oven if you didn't do it last week
    Deep Clean Challenge
Get in that pan cupboard. Give it all GOOD scrub out before replacing the things you need to keep. If no pan cupboard do a different one! Feel free to get carried away and do more cupboards!!!

My list for the week (alternatively known as the stuff that didn't get done today)
    Put cover back on sofa
Ditch broken DVD player, box up amplifier
Put TV back where it used to be
    Clean skirting in lounge
Put curtain rail back up properly and rehang the remaining curtains
Move drawers back into bay window in lounge
Get 4 boxes - charity shop, freecycle, [strike]sell,[/strike] return to owner, and clear stuff from understairs, storage room into the boxes.
Get smoke alarms put back up
    Sort through blanket box
    Clear bedside cabinets
Tidy tools and stuff from spareroom away
Move books / comics / cds from study and storage to bookshelves on landing - in progress
    Clear paperwork on desk
Make a christmas card list .. do it on the pc so you don't lose it! Make a note of posting dates for friends/family overseas! - while doing it, check birthday's left for this year
    Make christmas present list
    Sort out bills
Order extra doors for rat cage
Contact mortgage guy as to why there is an admin fee

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Morning all :hello: Can someone take over my life for a day or two so I can sleep please? Woken up this morning at 5.30am again only this time it was the heavy rain  Ended up going back to sleep until 7am :o I really don't feel rested at all. I think I'll use some sleep balm tonight and go to bed early as there's nothing on TV tonight that I want to watch at a decent hour

OH is out at a meeting tonight after work and is expecting to be about half and hour late or so (depending on traffic) so it is definitely a slowcooker tea tonight :rotfl: We ended up having a "gill up" (healthier alternative to a fry up :p:rotfl: ) to use up bacon and the end of the packet of burgers I found lurking in the bottom of the freezer. Whatever we end up having it's either going to be vegetarian or chicken or turkey based. I'm fed up with red meat. OH thinks it's Christmas though

RIGHT, since I'm decluttering & inventorying as I do each room no extra tasks or deep cleaning this time around - will do it next week :p So edited plan of action
    • Dailies
      • Beds
      • Bathroom S&S
      • Kitchen S&S
      • 15 mins on computer - sorting photos - each break.
      • Evening meal - Something in the slowcooker I think
      • Packed Lunches for tomorrow
    • TUESDAY JOBS
      • Demould hallway
      • Inventory Kitchen
      • Wash load - will need to see whats what, I think I need to do alight wash but it will have to go on airers (with fire/heaters on) as it's chucking it down with rain today
    • Weeks jobs
      • Join DD's gloves together with ribbon to put through coat (to stop her loosing just the one again!)
      • Make "snake" for behind front door.
      • Inventory of stuff in rooms as I go - 30 mins perday. Livingroom done, kitchen for today.
      • Ebay items ready for listing on Thursday, 5 items per day if I can manage any I'll be happy! Considering just charity shopping everything except for really good stuff :D
      • Update Money
      • Set up a budget for the rest of the month until Paydays for each of us. (4-6 days apart  )
      • Start HGP lists - amended version for me as I have a much smaller house and it started back in August :o (as seen here : http://holidaygrandplan.com/ )
      • Gather ideas for Christmas gifts
      • Update Christmas Card list - thinking save money and send an e-card to people abroad who's email addresses we have ;)
Monday Mayhem - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    • Level 1
      • Vacuum floors and sofas
    • Level 2

      • Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
      • Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets

      • Wipe light switches, sockets and banister
      • Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
      • Tidy shoes, coats and bags

Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    Morning,
I'm doing the lounge room today.
I'm out for an early lunch and then out this afternoon, but I intend to jump in the shower and crack on as soon as DD3 has gone to school.
DS1 is away on a school trip for the week. Its so quiet, its always weird when one of them isn't here. I don't like it...
So I'm going to work my way through yesterdays list. I've found some clothes to list on ebay. I'm also going to look for more baking recipes to use up the bits and pieces of things I have in the cupboard.
I will probably need to put some washing on too.
Right, DD3 about to go, will catch up in an hour or so...

mmmmmm it's going to be one of those days  the ones where you can't find anything straight away.

Started off trying to find A's swim suit, they go with school and are not allowed bikinis. She has several suits but mostly bikinis, managed to find the rightone in the nick of time. But couldn't find her goggles, so can you all keep an eye out for them please. Also had to get to ask teacher for a new homework sheet. We looked at it when she brought it home the other day but it has disappeared

But the good news is we finished the painting and it looks great (think I told you all that yesterday!) Now need to put her room back together. Coffee first I think, anyone else?

    Morning all

It's chucking it down here and really dark - I love it! :j But I must brave it today as I'm desperate for gas/elec and a couple of things from the shop so that will be first on my list so it's over and done with.

Saw the deep clean challenge and my eyes nearly popped out of my head...NOOOOOOOO!! I have the very cupboard that I've been putting off for months and don't want to do, what's the betting I put it off today also :D If I do you can all give me a kick!

Don't think I'll bother with the pan cupboard, might give it a wipe out but only had kitchen for a few months so it's not that bad, will clean fridge and cooker instead....oh joy!
