Once again one wonders why people will risk life and limb to get off the continent and into the UK, to include plenty with no family connections here.

I think an awful lot of Brits are very spoilt and if they found themselves living abroad would come to realise just how many things they would miss but took for granted.

Friend of ours was excited at living in Dubai at first, forever bemoaning UK internet speeds and many other things, but now is incredibly home sick and goes on about all the things they miss such as the rule of law and generally a very safe incorruptible place to live

Who is risking their lives? People are risking their lives to move here like they risk their lives to move to a lot of other countries as well, the UK is not the only magnet.
You make it sound like 'the world' wants to move here, it is not true at all.

For one of your friend being homesick, there are millions of Britons living abroad because life is better there.

UK wealth and wages are at an all time high

Have you got a citation for that? Just because wages have been growing by less than inflation for 10 years now.

Knighthood please for Mark Bowman, the young man who left Barnier flabbergasted.

    Fourth down.

Is anybody expecting the trade to be the same as it is now, you seem to be saying that we will not settle for anything less than they are now with out freedom of movement, I don't think anybody expects that to happen.

Conrad mentions it every other post. It's our major point of contention.
Most of the other brexiteers have said as much as well, and the UK brexit team seem to expect it.

I'm well aware that trading will have to change, and that a Canada / turkey / Japan deal will leave us worse off because we lose free movement of services and are a service economy.

I guess we've been giving out knighthoods to the inept for a long time.

There's a difference between out playing someone and failing to meet expectations.

And let's not forget that Britons have one of the highest household debt in the world...

Something tells me the expectation bar would keep rising with you.

There will be winners and losers, and decades from now, it will be laughed about what a mountain is being made out of this molehill. It's not WW2, as a country we will have to adapt and we will. Some I am sure will do very well, other not so good. Just the same as with any political decision in the past. Sour grapes should have a timescale as with anything, its not productive in the long run.
A 40 year referendum is perfectly reasonable, and personally I believe should be a staple for all counties as part of the membership, if nothing else it may at least keep the non-elected on their toes a bit.

Ask said before just because of couple of posters hear might that doesn't mean the government do, to be honest I don't think Conrad does I think he would be happy with no deal.

And still weathered the storm of the recession better than many of the EU countries.

I'm British, I know it's far from perfect, but financially I'd rather be sat here with my crap weather and iffy NHS, than Spain, or Italy or Portugal, or all of eastern europe, or France and most others.
