When did anyone vote for that?
It isn't but it's wanting to head in that direction.
Until such time as the EU has full fiscal union and equal voting weight for all member countries, it won't happen. We're in for a long wait.0 -
There you go again you still think the UK expects the same as now I don't think anybody really expects that. What on earth makes you think the UK wants the EU to fail it would not be in UKs interest. You are proving to me more blinkered than the hardened brexiters on here.
You just need to read half page in this forum thread to conclude that, unless of course, you have very selective reading!EU expat working in London0 -

A very recent example being your failure to answer the question as to why you think the EU should give preferential treatment to Canada rather than the UK?

And in breaking news, Barmier & Davies are to brief media on the latest talks at 10:45 a.m. today.
Will it be yawnworthy - or will there be substance for a change?0 -
Abe agrees to piggybacking between UK and Japan :T That's if EU ever sign a FTA.0

These articles aren't contradictory or illogical. The BoE can be concerned about the amount of consumer debt, but when credit is fuelling parts of the economy tightening said credit can still have some negative economic consequences such as slowing growth - that doesn't mean it's not desirable overall.

I didn't even see that one! Why do you think the UK should have preferential treatment over Canada? The EU is already working on FTAs, why do you think it should drop everything and do one with the UK in less than 2 years?
(There is a huge difference as well, Canada was never a former member of the EU, relations will be very different whether you like to acknowledge that or not.)EU expat working in London0 -

Look at the comments below the articles (these and other articles through the year warning of the boom in credit) and you see the tide of Remaoners basing their dire BREXIT RELATED warnings ON THE BOOM IN CREDIT articles (a sign people have run out of cash thanks to Brexit etc et)
With me so far...???
Now look at comments below the latest article warning about the slowing of consumer credit and guess what............. THIS TOO IS PINNED ON BREXIT
TAKE HOME POINT>>>> No matter what the event / story, they find a Brexit shaped cloud to fit. This demonstrates inconsistency and fuzzy thinking based on emotion and feelings as opposed to a sober assesment0 -
we can only hope. Also, the fact that the EU hasn't been on most peoples radars for decades shows just how ridiculous this situation is. A few vocal eurosceptics have dragged the country into their boring argument, sowing division as they go. I wonder how many of you brexiters actually had a strong opinion about the EU before 2015? If you answered honestly, I think most of you might have been mildly anti, but couldn't have cared less either way. Yet here we are with so many brexiters talking as if leaving the EU has been a life-long pursuit, well I call BS.0
