I admit to get semi-depressed due to the business encounters I've had over years. The endemic causal benefits fraud I've seen is enough to darken the lightest Soul. What people like me see bares no resemblance to the sanitised world view shared by most of the chaterati.
Any social justice warrior can interrogate my observations themselves - simply set up a property for let on Gumtree - make the rent attractive - benefits welcome - then ask applicants about affordability - say you are concerned about their reliance on benefits and they will prove to you they have other income - you will be amazed what goes on. If they say for example they work on a building site (untaxed) - ask for proof and they will often pull out a wodge of 'chitties' and other proofs and indeed you can go past the site and find them working there.
People will think I'm making this up, but this morning I for the first time contacted some national papers and 2 TV Channels asking if they are interested.
SORRY FOR THE OT -But I had to tell someone, lol0 -
Don't understand figures net migration is about 250,000 a year so how can fall by 1 million over 3 years.
Go into reverse? Its something like 600,000 in 300,000 out annually
If those coming halve, that is 0 net migration. if those coming fall by two thirds and those leaving increase by 100,000 a year then its negative 200,000 annually
Remember EU migrants are not from 3rd world countries with little to no options, if the poles cant come to the UK they have half a dozen rich countries to choose from like Germany France Norway Sweden Ireland etc and with the pound down countries like Germany now offer higher wages and also lower costs. Something like 75% of recent migrants rent privately and private rents are a lot cheaper in Germany.
Admittedly I see net migration going negative as unlikely but it is not impossible0 -

And yet the 'progressive' brigade foam at the mouth over any potential Trump - Russia connection despite the FACT Obama's administration did things like tap Merkels phones and took huge Iranian State money to fund the Dems Presidential campaign 2016 - in other words Iran sought to influence the American elections
This is why fake news is a reality- left / liberal legacy new corporations only ever tell halve the story, and anyone falling for it ought to be ashamed. Night after night CH4 give only 1/2 the story, shocking that grown Adults fall for it (and no I don't read the DM or Express before anyone attempts to use that as a counter-balance)
JOCK - every night on I-Pad I now watch Tucker Carlson & also Sean Hannity (Youtube) and whilst they do indulge in right wing bias, they allow 'the other side' to counter this EVERY NIGHT by inviting them on. You simply don't see anything like this on CH4 / BBC / SKY - not to this degree.
If you don't watch Tucker Carlson you are missing out on a huge reservoir of information - British Current Affairs TV is miles behind the curve
British TV is becoming utterly irrelevant - my Sons (14 & 17) & their wide circle of friends barely watch it - I mean hardly ever. The kids interested in current affairs go to Youtube as it's so much more forensic - yes biased in parts but that's why one should watch both sides of any debate on there0 -

power usage has gone down a lot and is going to keep going down, it has been for almost 15 years now despite some 3 million additional homes and business built during that time. So no additional power stations needed. Same for gas distribution with new boilers and better insulation we have excess capacity in a lot of the country.
Likewise with more and more water metering people use less and less. I use water like its free, which it is for me as I have a house with no meter. Come next year it starts billing on meters and Im sure I will use less for instance I let the tap run about a minute for a glass of water so the water is cooler. That is 5-10 liters of tap water wasted so I can have a 0.3 liter glass of water.0 -

migrants didn't invent the uk black market, its been about 10% of the economy for all of living memory.
Its no surprise that migrants are in the black economy, maybe they are twice as likely to be in the black/grey economy by the simple fact that they are at the bottom of the skills/pay food chain and thus have fewer options
But even then, they are displacing local black market workers into mostly legitimate jobs
If we import low skill migrants (or higher skill but without perfect spoken and written English) that pushes up the locals onto higher and better status jobs. Migrants dont cause unemployment this is clear by the fact that longer term unemployment is only about 1% and has been roughly that now or 20 years ago what migrants do is displace the locals from fish gutters and bottom wipers and table waiters to jobs with better/easier pay and terms.0 -

What I see is my once small market down growing rapidly, housing being built all over and congestion becoming the daily grind. We had slow worms, grass snakes & other reptiles here, mostly gone in last 5 years as more Humans move in, causing wildlife corridor disruption and massive kill by cats. Ok this wont bother many but from my point of view we have more than enough Humans
Farmers say to me they are having to farm with ever more chemicals to keep up with increasing demand (Bee populations plummeting), as the land available for crops falls (here lots of former farmland sold off for housing etc), but hey, Hamish can see loads of green out the train window so we must have plenty of space..0 -
