They want their divorce bill settled and rightly so. This whole thing has been a monumental disaster and may and her cohorts know it. They just can't admit it in public. It's all about damage limitation now!
What total and utter BS. The EU doesn't deserve any 'divorce bill' and you've made yourself look incredibly stupid for saying it does.0 -

Furthermore, any obligations when I leave if any are minimal.
You will probably like this:100 Tory MPs demand the EU pays Britain a €10 billion Brexit divorce bill
The terminology is I suppose a response to the EU's use of the same.

Here is Article 50 to see for yourself, the relevant part being in Para:2:

They do.
I am glad you recognise that this, and like Boris Johnson are now aware that in spite of this they are ten times bigger than us and if they choose to give us the thin end of wedge there is next to nothing we can do about it.
So therefore let's stop antagonising them.0 -

The EU know we are leaving, they also know that once we leave much of their rules, regulations etc taken into UK law will be binned . There will also be wholesale reform of immigration rules and they take umbridge at this?..
What did they expect to happen when a country leaves?.. !!!!!! they need to grow up and act like adults rather than children. Its quite pathetic when you read Juncker's and Verhofstadt's latest rants. If that was David Davis or Teresa May we would all cringe. I feel embarrassed on behalf of other EU member states.0 -

The EU have a problem with state sovereignty. That's pretty clear.
It doesn't matter if it is Greece; Hungary; or UK.
I doubt they are consistent though. If it were Germany leaving it would be a completely different tone from the EU.0 -
It is Saturday, the day of the "big" pro-EU demonstration in London.
Another display from hardcore remainers of their displeasure at democracy. It's not a bad day weather-wise either.
So what happened; of the 150,000 expected why have only 50,000 (and that's an organisers estimate so probably substantially less) turned out?
It does look like real EU support is not as high as some thought.
http://www.eastlondonadvertiser.co.uk/news/politics/150-000-expected-on-people-s-march-for-europe-and-brexit-protest-rally-in-parliament-square-1-5187746Tens of thousands of anti-Brexit activists are marching to Parliament Square in protest at the UK’s exit from the EU.
The comments in the Standard are funny too.0 -

Lefties seek to discredit Tories, what a shocker!
Because "Opendemocracy" is a bit of a misnomer, isn't it?
It may in fact be more appropriately named "Left-Biased Democracy".

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/opendemocracy/
I expect nothing less.
It's becoming increasingly clear who the left wing luddites are and anyone they disagree with is right wing. Particularly on DT, there's an infestation of left wing think on there, so much so that denouncing both sides when both are violent apparently amounts to support for Nazism, basically calling me a Nazi for denouncing all violent activism. They're a real special bunch.0 -

Ed Davey - "Embarassed for Great Britain" due to our negotiating positon
Marches like this dont really help, it makes a joke of our country as a democratic entity. We are given a vote, it goes one way, then half our population moans and moans in the hope that it might reverse the vote they took part in, all the time the EU is lapping this up
Of course, if this protest worked, and we did change our mind, we would hardly be in a good place now staying in the EU either, we would be the pathetic country that couldnt get its act together and can be pushed about however the EU pleased. Any remainer that thinks staying in now is a good idea is surely deluded, we would be treated like dirt for years to come0 -
The European union is so much more than just politics, its a long standing social experiment, with laws and regulations that are not necessarily set in stone.
Centuries of strife in mainland Europe made it perfectly wise and correct to come together post ww2, share knowledge, culture and decision making with close neighbours, We all have a rich and resonating history, wonderful cities, vibrant cultures; we've all been through a hell of a lot together. The EU may not be perfect but it is essentially good. We should have taken comfort from it...Its not just politics, these are our friends and allies.
Because of Brexit we will now be seen as parihas and racist isolationists.
