What can I do with green tomatoes (NOT chutney)?

Options
I get gorgeous tomatoes on the vine in my organic veggie box, the flavour is divine. However when I get say 4 tomatoes 1 of them is often green. After a week in the fridge it's still green......how can I get them to ripen? Or alternatively, what can I do with a few green tomatoes (not really enough to make a chutney).

Put them in the sun on the windowsill to ripen.

    Green tomatos make lovely chutney.

    Hi Emma,

To get them to ripen just pop any green ones into a dish and leave them alone for a couple of days. If you want to hurry the process put them into a paper bag with a banana.

Whatever you do, don't put green tomatoes in the fridge, they'll never ripen there.

I've been bringing mine in for a couple of weeks to ripen on the windowsill.

They should turn red if you bring them indoors.
