People in that position should fill this Consultation about default CCJs in, NOW:

Think it has just 48 hours left to fill it in so make sure those people on that FB group tell the Government what they want done about parking firms, specifically, who use and abuse the court service like this.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well no surprise that my second claim was abandoned before the hearing!
HOWEVER...
I am now part of a large community group that banded together to fight against this unlawful contract and the myriad of claims. We've had several dismissals and about 15>20 discontinued but there are people that ignored the court letters and are now fighting their CCJ's etc.
A lot have applied for set-aside, some already paid up and want their money back!
Question for the very knowledgeable here...
Is it worth them trying for 'special directions' on this amount of cases (30+) so that they are heard at the same time... Identical contract, identical PoC.
What do we think chaps?0 -

Yes. The court would likely chose 1 or 2 as test cases. Read up on the Indigo case at UHB Cardiff on what can happen. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks IamEmanresu, although that one didn't go very well did it?
This one is practically an open and shut case though as UKCPM haven't won a hearing yet that we know of...0 -

Every case is an opportunity to learn both what works and what doesn't. It all comes down to both preparation and anticipating what might come at you. It's a very useful case from that point of view. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Here's another group instigating a class action against Private Parking Solutions (London). There may be some tips apparent in doing some research as to how things are now progressing there.

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
