So then that makes my point, the banks word is gospel....0 -
No.
It means that if someone asserts something happened, it's possible to provide evidence.
They cannot provide evidence you didn't call.
It's me saying that you stole £10 from me. I can't prove you did, so you'll have to prove you didn't.0 -

I can see your point, but I say I've called, they say I didn't so they are right.
In this instance the previous poster said I can get the info so I will look into it. In the meantime these markers are effecting my credit history and current ability to obtain credit, so I want them removing.
Ultimately I was hoping someone may offer advice how to go about it, unfortunately the majority of posts have been along the lines of 'don't bother' which is a shame really0 -

Call logs from four months ago? That's one hell of a list0

It's not Santander's responsibility to trace you to a new address...
It's your responsibility to provide everyone with your new address if you had moved.0 -

Were you (originally) calling from a mobile or a landline? Most mobiles I've come across retain a call log of dates/times/durations on the handset and this will typically include freephone calls (I have calls to 0800 numbers within the call history on mine, which happens to be on the EE network)....
This is exactly what I would suggest.wizzywig27 wrote: »Call logs from four months ago? That's one hell of a list
Yes, my own EE log goes back to February - seems it's possible to retrieve your evidence without the need for a SAR (which costs £10)
Take a screenshot - your photographic evidence has cost you nothing.
What you've been told about the FOS process is correct.
You first need to log a complaint with the bank.
Await their final response - this could be up to 8 weeks.
If you disagree, you then have 6 months to take it to FOS.
This may seem a lengthy time to wait but against the information remaining on your CR for 6 yrs, it's got to be worth a try.
If on the other hand, you find that it slipped your mind to ring them and have no call log then move on, the further back in your history the arrears are - the less of an impact it will have on future credit applications.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Is this online? Where do I go to find it?0
