Nut allergy.

Earlier in the year I travelled long haul with Royal Brunei. On both the outward and homeward journeys packets of peanuts were handed out two or three times. There was no warning given, no notices anywhere that I saw, and I didn't hear anybody question nuts being freely available. No announcements were made that nuts would be handed round.
I wonder if the air conditioning system on the plane (one of the latest Dreamliners) is so sophisticated that the allergens are removed somehow before the air is recirculated?
There is an expectation that someone with a severe allergy would contact the airline before flying. Peanuts may be given out otherwise.
As for the OP, should he willfully do an act that causes another person serious injury then I expect he would be dealt with by the criminal justice system.
Although more likely it's a wind up posted to get a reaction ...0 -

Correct, because I probably don't eat nuts from one month to the next, but I'd bet that some folk look forward to their "free" nuts when on a flight.0 -

The person with the nut allergy who didn't make themselves known. Unless you're saying that if the landlord stood on the bar and said 'no nuts tonight lads, 'Arrys got an allergy' and you went next door to buy some regardless?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

It's been a long time since "free" nuts were given out when you bought a drink on board.0 -
Yes, well, I bet you didn't expect an almost unanimous 'you're wrong' response, did you?

I've just given you a very recent example of nuts being handed out on a flight, and not with drinks - there's no alcohol sold on RB.0 -

The last time I recall it happening was years ago with Singapore Airlines.
It used to be standard on short-haul charter flights from the UK when you bought a drink years ago.
Maybe I should have been more specific.
Is it something that happens regularly on the airlines you fly with?0 -
"It's been a long time since "free" nuts were given out when you bought a drink on board." - No it hasn't, still happens without buying a drink even - try Emirates.0

On all the long haul airlines I've travelled on in the last few years - Thai, Malaysian, Qatar, Cathay Pacific - none have given out "free" nuts.

On the trips I've made with Royal Brunei - I haven't used another airline for many years.0 -
