Hi everyone
Oooh HK, that does sound like a lot of benefits for your dd to go with the other uni. :T Exciting (albeit stressful!) times!
Purps - send some sunshine! Raining here!
I hope everyone else is ok. I've not really been keeping up with the thread this week with the change in regime with OH starting his new job. It must be taking it out of me as I fell into bed last night before 9pm!
I'm going over to the inlaws today. OH has some mates round so I thought I'd rather hang around with them than here alone. FIL is a great chef and MIL is great at keeping my red wine glass topped up all night so what's not to like?! :rotfl:
I need to sort YNAB too.
Still crocheting myself a cardi...
I downloaded a great app - World Newspapers - obvs not for everyone but it's the easiest way to get all of the newspaper websites in one place. I've been reading the sad news from my old hometown barcelona

Good morning everyone
Thank you DNMS and Dawn regrading DD and DNMS-never a truer word said about paths. She did do alot of thinking of the new pathways opening in the future, safety nets if certain things don't work out.
The time, money and resources being offered to DD on the athlete program are mindblowing and her degree although nothing to do with sport, will work with her to allow her to go to competitions.
Her little run around is sorted but I like that she is already keeping the money saving faith and planning to travel to competitions with another athlete to save on costs.
Well the decorator/handyman all finished for now until he comes back to do the bathroom. he's done a cracking job as he did the laminate flooring and other bits aswell. He couldn't fit the doors as I hadn't bought some bits needed but he is going to sort them out.
Today's plans were going out this morning to do a few bits but the weather isn't great so will leave later. Will have to spend some money on a few bits later.
In the meantime, I'm going to be sorting out operation back bedroom and putting the bedside cabinet together and getting the new curtains hung.
The ebayer seller- a business offered to ring me to try and sort out the mess regarding my curtain pole order. I said not a problem but I was upset that they blamed me on eb@y saying that I had cancelled the order when they had totally messed up and had not bothered to let me know what was going on. They never bothered to ring.
Right off to do the usuals
Have a great day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hi Saturday Savers...
Purple Fairy26, we have a coffee grinder and we're dead technical with it, we grind til it looks like the stuff we buy... It is great- the smell is fantastic!
Not going to be a no spend here but will be low spend, we have friends calling in for coffee, so going to do some cheese and biscuits, we have a good selection in fridge so going to send husband down to get a baguette or two and that's probably all...
I got 8 portions of Chipotle chilli in the freezer yesterday and also chopped and froze another two tubs of mushrooms so now we have 3bags in freezer, 4 tubs for about £1.40....we go through lots of mushrooms eating veggie so a good haul but they'll be used quickly...
Got washing to do but leaving it for today as it's showery all day.... Will be a freezer tea of some sort. Getting it down abit this month although small freezer getting nicely filled with bread again now
Have a good one all...0 -
I think our posts have just crossed, thank you LaE regarding DD.
She gets a nutritionist, strength and conditioning coach, extra sports coach on top of her usual one, personal trainer-we don't have to pay a penny and extra grants from the uni towards accommodation etc-all part of the athlete programme.
I only got DD into sport because she was a lazy toddler!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Morning all

Well, my brother has just left, to go back to who knows where (sigh - does anyone else have difficult family members?
) Anyway, at least OH will cheer up (finds his personality / behaviour very difficult) and I can clear up after him
So, sounds like mostly housework and washing for me today - hope the weather is better than yesterday so that it dries! Done, house cleaned (OH helped) and washing dried
Apart from that:
Find something from the freezer for dinner Done
Do another batch of roasted tomato sauce, and freeze it Done
Any surveys Just onefrom Yougov so far...
Pick any garden produce that is ready A few raspberries, a cucumber and a colander of French beans
Check fridge for things that need using up or freezing All ok
Dog walk later Done
DD2 and little GD came round, and stayed for lunch. GD wanted to bake something, so we made muffins with blueberries and a fallen apple from the garden
NSD
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all,
In case any of you have missed it there's a £1 cap on flea bay fees this weekend so if any of you have any pricy items to sell now' the time to it!
I've had a lie in and am about to jump in a bath and get my day started, I will:
Dry my hair naturally on account of the hairdryer burning out, will grab DS's for future use as he always dries his with mine anyway.
Wrap flea bay sale and post with other two.
Pick up package from post office, it's a duvet set to cut down to make curtains for the car/van (otherwise known as the can.)
Wrap and drop a Ziffit trade.
Small supermarket shop for all the stuff they only do the expensive version of in the local one.
Quick clean and tidy as I'm out tonight and DS has friends coming round.
Have a good weekend all!
Well done HappyKittiesDD, I'd love to be sending mine off to uni, I'd love all the packing, but it's Reading Festival soon so I get a small dose at least!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
