DNMS - mr f had something similar before we met. Irregular heartbeat....arrhythmia? He had to have lots of tests. Nothing serious found. He now thinks it was stress-related as was not in a 'happy place' at the time. Always worth getting these things checked out.
Ally - sorry to hear you are fighting the old foe. It too will pass & you will start to feel calmer. Concentrate on those things you can control & try to ride the others out......that's what I'm having to do at the moment. Best wishes, anyway.......& to everyone else who is having a less than lovely time at the moment for whatever reason.

No reply to email by lunch time so I rang, she is meeting with him tomorrow to talk about it.
I have to take two weeks off work soon just in case I acquire any workers rights by being there too long consecutively so I am off the first two weeks of September and then may be back just three days a week after that (unless the Sainsbugs thing comes off) which would suit me so I could do other things on the other two days.
Had a Greek salad with dinner using my own cucumber and tomatoes and have *finally* salted the second batch of aubergines for pickling tomorrow!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

it's interesting to hear that. As you know there is a lot of stress in my life. Less than it was a couple of years ago but I think I have a form of PTSD after everything we went through and I can no longer take stress the way I used to. Must make appt todayDF as at 30/12/16

Today, I'm writing a shopping list for the next 8 days before we go on hols. We did a cheeky balance transfer on husbands cc just over a week ago, balance used to be on Sains but we transferred to Barcs but stupidly missed activating the card in time to get the 0% interest so we're v little better off... We didn't close Sains account and a couple of weeks ago got post from Sainsbury's offering 0% interest and free transfers..we tried it expecting them to tell us to !!!!!! off but when we looked at accounts online on Saturday we saw the bc had now been paid off.. But we hadn't stopped the bc direct debit so a payment has been made and we're now £30 in credit so that's the shopping budget for this week.. Will be plenty as we have a full freezer...
And for the rest of my dfw day, I'm walking down to b&m to get some cat food and maybe a couple of store cupboard items..
Washing was left out last night-rained heavily while we were out but it's a nice morning so hopefully I won't need to re-spin...checking rest of washing today but will probably hang on til weekend when I do going-on-holiday washing...
Getting a big pot of chilli done and frozen now I finally got the cheaper chilli beans from Asda.. (60p Mr T, 45p A's)... Will do an evening meal this week and when we're back and skint for 3 days before payday!
Starting pre-holiday clean too...So neighbour doesn't look down on us too much after cat feeding...
Hope we're all doing well and feeling positive today..:T0 -
Sending you hugs, DNMS and to anyone else that needs them.
Waterloo station is even more stuffed today due to a partial derailment and a points failure so I am losing another day's pay, thanks SW Trains!
Three more aubergines seem to have ripened since I picked the last four so I have quickly sliced and salted them to add to the others.
I will pop to my mums later to drop off a tablecloth I got for her and also take an eBay package to the post office.
I'll sort and put away the clean washing mountain.
I need to buy some salami to do my pasta dish with my HG cherry tomatoes.
The hollyhocks I bought to plant out the front next year are trying to flower this year, I read you are supposed to cut them off as it will spoil them for next year but I don't have the heartI'm also impatient to see what colour they are :rotfl:

Morning everyone
I have been following and reading, just haven't had chance to post
Ally, DNMS, foxgloves sending hugs, take it easy you guys
FVD I hope the situation gets sorted with DS. workplace bullies are awful. Had a job I loved years ago but the boss was evil. I took independent advice and was told just to get out, wished I had fought it now, so it's good that you are not backing down.
As soon as I heard the travel news this morning I thought about you when they said about the problems at Waterloo.
Have been really trying to keep the money saving faith. Haven't really been out. Did the 6 hour round trip to hospital yesterday-90p spent on a chocolate bar that I really needed when I was flagging.
DD and myself have gone halves on a hamper for friends who have been really good to us. full of goodies they will love, and we got it on a special deal, so money saved.
Usual things completed this morning. Have the decorators coming in on Thursday for operation back bedroom-already getting stressed about this. Need to clear out the last bits, haven't had chance to do a tip run yet, house looks a right state.
Also have to get final few bits from B+Q tomorrow-monies set aside for this. very frustratingly an ebay seller let me down with my curtain pole. no notification, communication or anything from them so need to hunt for a curtain pole tomorrow
Have a great day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Morning Campers,
Busy morning clearing big ironing pile & have made a start on making up guest beds. Nothing money saving achieved yet but here's the list:
*Water greenhouse veg.
*Pick honegrown lettuce, tomatoes, rocket, spring onions & courgettes.
*Feed sourdough jar ready to bake loaf tomorrow.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Do my mid-month budget check-in to make sure we are on track & make any necessary adjustments.
*Remind mr f to pay holiday cottage balance now that we have arranged holiday insurance in case Dad takes a turn for the worse.
*Two baths from one lot of hot water. Am thinking that our £280 energy bill credit could build up a bit higher for winter months if we are careful between now & October.
*Knit a couple more blanket squares & finish library book if I have time. Hoping to have a little bit of leisure time later as I made tonight's & Wednesday's meals yesterday when I was divvying up turkey mince.
Ok, have finished my coffee so am heading up to Foxgloves HQ to get checking that budget.
See you,

Hello all, hope you're all well :-)
Some small money saving habits I'm doing that'll pay off in the long run:
*Charge phone/kindle at work
*Use printer at work
*Using 1/4 of water in kitchen bowl for washing up
*Check FPL
*Walk to destinations where possible instead of using car
*Use diary to log amount and type of internet spends
*Download free books for kindle
*Let hair dry naturally where possible
*No more hair cuts and colours
*Bit controversial this one - flushing toilet after a few number 1's as opposed to every time (except when guests are in the house)
*Only use iron where really needed
Future aims:
*Make my own natural cleaning products
*Grow my own fruit/veg
*Have cheap days out when on leave next year, as opposed to a holiday to increase emergency fund and refurbishment savings (I might struggle with this one!)
