Could you do a trip to a laundrette occasionally if you get overload of washing . They are a dying breed these days so not sure if they exist in your part of the world .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I could and have often thought it when washing had built up to 7 loads! I just need to keep on top of it and remember to do a load every day or every other day. Doesn't help the washer is in the garage and I can't have the Hoover or DW on at the same time as it trips the electric!!! I know, I know!
Absolutely can not wait for 8pm. Will put small ones to bed in 8 minutes then will do a workout, shower and then drink wine!
ETA. Also need to hang up washing!!!!!0 -
Oh Missy you made me lol with your last comment about the wine . That's me every Friday when grandchildren get picked up ! If I need to do something on a morning I leave a note by the kettle. No way I wouldn't use the kettle :rotfl: So I know I will see it

My memory is terrible.
Must be a day for kids pushing it, mine have been so annoying today we walked to town just to get away from wanting to lock them in a cupboard

Couldn't live without my drier, I don't even use it loads but Its good to have in an emergency! 7 pounds sounds like a good price for a day out, entertainment has to be my biggest expense. Tesco boost do some good deals and sometimes annual passes work out well but I like to get out & about xx0

Workout done! Although spent quite a lot of time trying to take a decent photo of myself. I keep track of my fitness journey via photos so I can add how far I've come. But I do like a nice photo lol. Ok so no wine has been drunk and no washing has been hung up. Def need to hang up washing, not sure on the wine as feel pretty virtuous on the exercise front!
Thanks for all your comments, I love reading replies x0 -
I have a TD and try my absolute hardest not to use it until I really need to Missy!!!
Do you have an airing cupboard? I sometimes hang things in there overnight and then dry really quickly xxMummytogirls x0 -
Nope no airing cupboard!!! It's crazy! Have managed to hang up my second load today. It's not too bad I guess. Ive got the sheets to do tomorrow! Will do those first thing. And maybe put s note by my kettle, (thanks hidden), to remind me to hang it before I go out! I almost forgot this second lot I've just hung up, as I went upstairs to bed without taking it up and had to go back down! But I have now hung it and have a cheeky gin in bed with me.
Just found a very sleepy wasp on the dry washing! So glad I found it and the children didn't find it in the morning!!!!
My house is a tip! I'm so lazy but I just don't want to do anything! Maybe I'll find some cleaning mojo tomorrow. It seems that whenever I find enthusiasm for one part of my life, the other parts fall to pieces. For example, I am totally into my fitness at the money. But my house and eating are not going well!
But 1st October tomorrow, it's a new month and all. So goals are: (thanks for the idea Hidden)
Pay of at least £200 off CC
Work out at least 5 X per week
Empty the DW once a day
Do a wash load a day
Only drink on weekends
Stick to under 1800 calories per day
Sick to a mainly vegan diet
Keep the house visitor ready
Only spend £10 a week on shopping
Try and say yes more!0 -
Make sure you keep your daily list small enough to be achievable. It's easy to write everything down but then feel like chucking it in the bin after the first day because there's simply too much. Make sure it includes good and easy things too.
My lists now are longer because as I've got on top of the bigger jobs now I do them as I go so it's only a few minutes job rather than a big one if that makes sense.
So it would look like
Monday- Wake up with alarm
- Put kettle on for cuppa
- While kettle boils put wash on
- Job x
- Hang washing
- Make school run on time
- Take 15 mins for a cuppa
- Job X
- 30 Mins lunch/tv/computer
- Have dinner
- Do baths
- Do bedtime
- Clean kitchen sides (nothing worse than waking up to last nights mess
)
Mine has times now
and I set alarms because I'm paranoid I'd be late for school pick up or something :rotfl:
Remember what works for one won't work for another, but I do think you're too hard on yourself x0
