cleaned washer drawer and slot it fits into *shudder*

I ran some more washing - then I stopped the machine and put in the detergent and started it again...

    *sigh*

I have also recorded all the cheques which need to be paid into the PTA bank account in case any are rejected due to dates. Or for any other reason, like marriage (because at least one married...) and subsequent name change. As soon as I get the account number (they won't email it) I am hot footing it to the bank.

Anyway got my £60 M&S gift card for taking out car insurance with Age UK - thanks MSE!

  • Was out yesterday getting training in using a professional brushcutter. Got back and Himself was very tired, practically falling asleep on the sofa.

I really don't know what he did all day, as I couldn't see anything had been cleaned and he said he'd been downstairs. I suspect it was watching TV .

So I've been downstairs watching TV all day instead. Which meant he had to go out into the rain to get food shopping, instead of yesterday when it was beautifully sunny. Stuck a beef stew into the SC and will have that in a minute.

Day 1 is done. I'd love to say all days would be this successful, but I'd be lying! Ds1 has been at Summer club all day, so I've only had the 8 month old at home who is a super sleeper which means I've had plenty of free time. I've got both boys home tomorrow, but I'm determined to finish level 1 at least!

I'm actually amazed at how much I've done. As well as cleaning the windows in the kitchen, I've done the living room and patio door window. The toaster is clean, the bins are clean, the kitchen as a whole is clean, I've swept the floor in the hallway, tidied the toys under the stairs and sorted out the toys in the living room so they're much tidier and it now looks like a living room not a toy room!!

I've seen blackberry picking being mentioned. I've got a few growing on our driveway. Not many, but should be enough for an apple and blackberry crumble! I may add it to tomorrow's jobs.

Ooh - wow! Well done! I did about 45 mins - and kitchen is still a bit of a bombsite after making marmalade:o

Tomorrow I shall be catching up on kitchen and trying to restore some sense of order in the living room - OH is home tomorrow night from working away and he prefers it to be reasonably peaceful...... (hence why he works in the caravan in the garden when working from home in the holidays! :rotfl:)

    Morning all

Managed to get all the ironing and laundry done yesterday, swept and mopped floors, walked the dog and made a very faffy hm chicken curry for tea. Got a nice squishy hug from DS1 when he came home - lovely to know that he still isnt too old to give his old Mum a hug - and spent a bit of time chatting to him.

Both paid stuff today, cycling tonight hopefully. Picked up some reduced price stewing steak yesterday so off to make a steak and ale casserole and put it in the sc before work.

Have a good Thursday everyone x
