Well.. my credit rating is shocking! I have 2 items saying they are in default when in fact they are not so I'm on the cases of the relevant companies.. I have a second mortgage it appears.. erm.. no.. and 14 current accounts.. I have 1.. so there is a fair bit of insanity going on there.. fortunately I have a friend working for experian who can help.. no wonder my rating is so bad!! It is a bit scary being faced with the actual amount of debt you have..

Other than that I am trying to budget for the next 3 months.. I have £8000 to *find* and half needs to be done now. I CAN do this.. and I WILL.

Does anyone here have private medical insurance.. Is it worth having??

Ebeast.. talk sense to me.. is it worth listing everything at 99p regardless of what it is? Postage would be £5 for everything.. I'm working on the assumption that lower prices will encourage more bidders and hopefully more sales.. even if I get less pence for better quality stuff, with luck the cheaper stuff will go too.. or is my thinking sliding out of my ears?

and enough of my waffle.... off to do dinner

Is it possible that CF and Mrs CF have been taking such things out using your name and address? Or a random fraudster? I'd be looking for a mail redirect/keepsafe having been set up as well.

The details I can see for getting this checked are

Oh, and I'd check whether somebody has obtained a passport/driving licence in your name, too.

jojo.. I've had a few letters about loans and credit cards for him here.. but sometimes those things are taken from old details.. but then I guess he hasn't lived here for over 8 years so we shouldn't still be getting his mail.. At least 2 items we received were definitely applied for by him and I had a letter about a £1000 loan.. this is why I am checking it all in such detail I wouldn't be surprised.. probably part of their plan to put my house at risk.. the house where the children live!

I can't have a passport as I don't exist apparently.. I tried to get one 2 years ago... and I don't drive so I doubt there will be a license but I may still check.

more frogs munched - been left until we had time to sort. DD has had her loose light fixed. (Some (insert expletive) ran into her car in Tesco's car park - and the girls who witnessed didn't get the reg so she had to pay to have the dislodged light reattached. I couldn't fix it as inaccessible) and old cat been to vets for jabs and advice and kitten booked in for spaying.

I have just flopped in an exhausted heap on the sofa. V proud of what I have achieved today:

    - 6 hours paid stuff
    - DH VAT return done and submitted - now just to pay it :p
    - 10,000 loads of laundry
    - Ordered dad's birthday present
    - Created a HUGE pile of stuff to take first thing in the morning to local place that buys clothes/dvds/books - will be there at 9am
    - Bootful of carp for the tip
    - Arranged to get upstairs carpets professionally cleaned
    - Cleared out a load of stuff to go in the recycling bin
    - Loaded DW

Phew! Kiddies in bed, I will make a cuppa and some cheese on toast shortly after I have steam cleaned the hall floor.

See you all in the morning xx

All done, ATB. You've achieved so much more than me today!

I did get a second load of washing done and dry on the line outside - bonus! Downstairs vacuumed through before I went out. While playing taxi for DD, I did manage to get a few errands done, including various cards bought for August and the beginning of September. I got home and ordered BiL's present, then gasman turned up on time.

The utility room is my neglected room. And it still is - I didn't get much done in there this afternoon beyond looking at how untidy it is!

Thanks HB for the advice - I might sort out a few more craft bits and see if the local hospice can use them. That would be far more use than me hanging on to them.

Another day another country park visited

    Ground dysoned and henried
All towels washed and line dried
    3xwm done in addition

Miss Paws had the runs whilst we were out. Luckily we keep a litter tray out in case of need. She only uses it about once a year. Litter changed, floor washed and everything disinfected.

Have been let down by someone not collecting my old printer. I may have to take it to the dump.

    Mr T's visited

Had an email telling me my report had been cancelled so I can relax. They said it happens a lot usually cats or kids.

    You've all been very busy.
Welcome Mrs Save and any other newbies I've missed.
As usual I don't know where the week has gone. In no particular order:
    - bedroom and bathroom had a better-than-usual blitz (which isn't hard)
    - rest of house sort of kept up with
-re-vamped conservatory is progressing, with highlights including re-homing numerous cacti so we can actually enjoy the plants we have without looking through a jungle of their offspring (plants breed a lot in our house).
    - private report finished and sent off
    - uni paperwork finished and sent off
    - various money transactions, bills etc paid
    - zumba, clubbercise and a couple of runs done (just finished week 6 of C25K although having just measured my usual routes at between 3-3.5km, I think 5K is a bit of a way off. Slow baby steps.)
    - washing and clothes tidying has been kept up with
    - a million plums, greengages and blackberries picked/gathered. Freezer heaving. Pity neither of us eat jam.
    - garden growing faster than we can prune/weed in this alternating rain/sun even though we have taken 15 large bags of prunings to the green tip.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.

Dh arrived from home yesterday, went upstairs and shouted back down "It's shining up here!". It must look good if Dh noticed! The landing is where our paperwork lives, so I've managed to sort through that. It's also where our bookshelves are, and a mini office (no desk, but storage. It really needed a good sort out, and when I saw that was yesterday's jobs I groaned! But, it didn't take long at all.

I'm out of the house today, but only for the morning, so the living room will be done after lunch.

Hello everyone - have you missed me? :rotfl:

    What. A. Week.
So far, I have nearly got divorced, sorted out a major !!!!-up with the kitchen worksurfaces, cleaned for 1000 years (to find I had only got half way around the kitchen, watered a friend's garden whilst they were away, been to see DH's cousin's wife who has got severe depression (mouldy cat food bowl anyone ), missed our dentist appointment, visited SiL on her 25 acre free-range chicken farm, collected eleventy billion eggs, paid in money to the bank, had the report from our bat survey (one solitary male pipistrelle ), took delivery of an oak vanity unit as a flat pack!!!! (no mention of this on the listing, so assumed it would arrive 'whole'), made and ate a huge amount of chocolate krispie bars, joined a ladies-only gym, belly laughed over the story of Devil Cat's deposit, sent off passport info for Tiny's first one and have refereed every hour on the hour for the boys.

How many days until school restarts?
