Sorry LW, I know it's an autocorrect, but I couldn't resist.;):rotfl:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Bedroom still stinks and I could cry. DD sleeping in spare room. No obvious stain anywhere, no food, bedding and curtains washed.
All I can think is something dead under floor boards. I have always been very funny about smells so this has really bothered me. Pathetic I know! Wine time now xMFW

Back from another sunny day conservationing.
Got back and Himself asked how one makes Beetroot Soup. Well, one takes one's beetroot and one's potato and stabs them repeatedly, then places them in a bowl in one's microwave and then one microwaves them until they are cooked. Then one blitzes them up with stock, a splash of vinegar from the jar of pickled beetroot vinegar in the cupboard and some horseradish.
I even told him to use a tiny bit of veggie oil on his hands when peeling the cooked beetroot so he didn't resemble an axe murderer for the weekend.
But it was very nice - and, to my amazement, he cleaned up as he went along. Not sure where that came from. Maybe he's finally noticed that the kitchen is always clean when I cook?
Might go again on Tuesday, so have to get as much packed as possible by Sunday, then he can clean [snorts derisively] so we come back to a clean house afterwards. That'll be a first - last year, I completely bottomed the kitchen the night before we left, only to find the lodger's uneaten pasta fermenting in the sink when we got back - and her complaining that He had left the kitchen in a state. How I didn't snap 'No, he bl**dy didn't, because it was me what cleaned it and it's covered with your packet meals and manky takeaway wrappers', I have no idea.
This year could be blissful by comparison. And my boots finally turned up todayI could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Your DD's only little, isn't she?
My money is on a soggy pair of knickers stuffed down the back of the wardrobe/chest of drawers/under the mattress/under the bed itself. Or a patch of the carpet used at night because something scared her off from going to the loo.
And if you have a secret writing light (ie, a UV one), if you go in there at night, there's a good chance you'll find somewhere lit up like a Christmas Tree. If you don't, it might be a close the door and window and follow your nose job.
She will deny it if she remembers doing it, though. They get embarrassed thanks to school.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Thanks sweetie. Yes she's only 5, I'm going to turf out the room once more tomorrow and, if no joy, rage rip up the carpet xxMFW

ATB.. my grandson has been using his teddy bear box as a lavatory.. Dead mice have a weird sweet/sickly smell about them.. dead rats smell of dead, like gone off meat/dustbin stench. Snails.. she doesn't have a little 'collection' anywhere does she? it could be a lunch box or ice cream tub or anything.. yes we have had such delights more than once! Do you have pets? could there be a kitty deposit? Oh.. did you check behind the radiators? we have had all manner of grotesque behind one of ours. if all else fails.. empty the room.. and put stuff back one thing at a time. Oh.. and pee smells, if you wash them they usually smell worse rather than better.
off to my nest while I have the chance.. if I don't go now I'm going to start devouring again!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Morning
I'm not sleeping good this week@
Plan today is take dd to dancing and visit library later. Might walk / scoot. I hate to say it but I can't think of anything that needs cleaning!!! Maybe floor mopping but not while kids are about.
Wouldn't say house is immaculate but there's no need for perfection:rotfl:. Might stick a wash on...
Are there any shoes in her room ATB? I only ask because ds was given some football boots of a particular brand with bonded soles and when I g00gled there were loads of complaints about the stench of the adhesive used - like cat pee  not suggesting she's squirrelled away some football boots but and wellies or anything?
Fabulous dancemum good for you xxBossymoo
