Duckydo if that very rude woman knows anything she should know that there is no "one size fits all" with children. Even I know this, and I'm not a mother!! You make the best decision you can based on all the facts in front of you; and if other people who are in no way directly affected by that decision don't like it, then imho, they can go take a running jump. I should just put it down to the wine talking if I were you. x
Fwiw, I've been called a selfish b!tch and all sorts of other nasty names because I chose not to have children. Never mind that I have zero maternal instinct and would have made a terrible mother. *rolls eyes*. "An' it harm none, do as ye will".
HB oh dear; I hope the lodger was understanding. Do we need palliative healing vibes sending for Devil Cat? xIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Well done Bossy!
Good luck, Valli!
I went to SW this morning and have stayed the same as last week, which is some sort of an improvement on gaining every week since Easter, despite being on plan more days than not
It was pouring at 9.00 and the dog only got a very short walk (she hates rain!) so she is now bouncy and ready to go!
Thank you for listing the boudoir today, Valli. I have done levels 1,2, and 3 in our bedroom and also the study bedroom, so upstairs is all clean and tidy; also S&S'd bathroom and will S&S kitchen when I get lunch. I have tidied round the LR and asked DH to hoover downstairs as there's a lot of dog fluff and bits of grass in the hall/DR - he's doing it now :A I did an hour's studying earlier and will get back to it for another hour after lunch before taking Rosie out. More studying planned before tea, then DH is going to model railway club and I can settle down to watch a webinar on games to teach your dog loose-leash walking, recall and reliability!
Unfortunately DH has managed to undo all of 3 weeks' work in trying to get Rosie's confidence by leaning down on her from a great height to pat her head. She squealed, ran away from him, and wouldn't come back when he called - only when I did - then he blocked her way past him on the narrow landing to where I was, so she ran away again. He just doesn't think like a street dog...
Hope Pixie's rash improves soon, and that you feel better soon, pigpen.
All SAHMs deserve respect, as do all working mums who juggle their hours to give as much time as possible to their children. The ones I find difficult to cope with are those who have children, expect others to mind the kids while they swan off to do their own thing, and then disclaim any responsibility for the children's bad behaviour / lack of concentration / etc.
I will get down off my high horse and go and make lunch...0 -
