I agree, duckydo very rude of them.how would the world be if we were all exactly the same? Xx

Eurgh, grotty nights sleep, feel not quite awake. Ooo, weighed myself this morning, I've not been dieting per se but just increasing my fruit and veg, and particularly ditching other snacks in favour of these, and I've lost half a stone! Thought it might have been a pound or two. That's one habit I'll be keeping!

My bedroom just needs a dust and vac and clean bedding. I might skip the window opening lol, the rain will get in!

Kiddies are just playing Lego while I have a coffee, I think they may not want to get dressed today :o but I have some crafts plans too.

Better go - DS wants help with his track...

Awake stupid early, and I don't even have to go to work! However, I managed to successfully distract myself with a good book that is due back to the library this week, so now inevitably I am behind.

Yet more wet washing hanging up, so now it is washing machine amnesty until it either gets sunny or some of the washing dries. The ironing pile is clear though.

I'm off to clean the shower and downstairs loo, then I have to take DD to get her hair cut. She has one hour to get out of bed, so I will start banging about shortly....**cue evil laughing **

Ducky.. as a serial SAHM I find the words.. 'I'm quite happy with my decisions thank you' in a stern tone usually kills that conversation. I don't judge those who choose to return to work so they have no right to judge me..

Drs at 11 for DS3 . and I'm seeing if the GP would slip a 2 second look at Pixie who is head to foot rash at the moment. We have 4 appointments between 2 of us so there should be time to slip her in. I thought Dot hand hand/foot&mouth but only her legs and hands were affected.. the Pixie started and it looked like an allergy but it is spreading like wildfire and only her legs arent covered and it is looking more and more like scarlet fever but it isnt that either.. again mouth not involved.

    eeewwww.. stinky baby... brb

    and..

it is pouring with rain here.. Ooh.. best locate boots.

DD2 just had a new one ripped.. inappropriate behaviour!

My kitchen is still in party mode from Sunday so I need to sort that out, though it is Pixies birthday tomorrow (she is 4) and is having a teaparty.. basically a couple of help yourself plates with sandwiches, biscuits and cupcakes .. so long as it is followed by cake it is a party!

Everyone loves Twinkles top today.. Hairy McLairy from Donaldsons Dairy!! .. definitely a favourite in my house.

Finance sheets need rejigging today too.. I need £4000 asap for a very necessary surgery to try to fix the constant stomach/digestive pain.. and following that another £2000 for the next round of surgery which is less necessary but will improve my mental health.. and then maybe another £2500 for reconstructive jaw/dental surgery thanks to CF.. over the next few years.. I remember in the good old days when there was a service called the NHS and most of this stuff would have been free because it would improve my overall physical health and improve my quality of living... ho-hum..

cuppa slurped... off to shift derriere.

Duckydo - sounds like one bitter, twisted, envious b!tch. If ever she's desperate for childcare you know what to say!

I have to go to SW this morning as I missed last night's group. I have been severely off-plan with feeling so down. So it won't be good and that won't help my mood.

Picking DD up later, was going to make her come out of the airport (to save the parking charge) but if it is still raining that might not be doable.

Sorry to hear your 'friends' seem to think they know more about what's right for your family than you do, Duckydo. It sounds as though someone drinks more than she should, so I'd struggle to take her views on anything seriously - and I'm speaking as someone who used to drink too much occasionally, but I usually had the good grace to phone up and apologise the next day if I went too far. Has she?

...sorry to say DD1 is not a good housekeeper...

She's one of us! It sounds as though you transformed her place though and I bet she's really, really glad and grateful you did even if she forgot to tell you that.

Thanks for the sympathy over Devil Cat's 'deposit.' We know how ill he is, and I'd asked the vet to up his pain meds last week but for some reason she said we should wait and see how it went. It's only going one way, so I'm a bit frantic about him, but at least it made OH understand that it's time for action vis a vis additional pain relief NOW. He's off to Edinburgh for the festival on Friday and I'm really worried that I might have to get him to come back at very short notice because while I'm more than capable of making the necessary decisions OH wants to be here for the little chap at the end.

Amazingly, the house looks as though someone keeps it under control. This flying lark works!

really pleased with bathroom progress yesterday, especially cleaning out and washing the bin and polishing the mirror. Shiny/ sparkly things feel like a nice reward.

Spent an hour and should have got a lot more done in that time as it's such a tiny room but I'm out of practice I guess. And the grime had really built up. Still yet to clean the shower screens, unclog the washbasin a bit and scrub the floor. But that can be next week. Partner asked what I was doing and when I told him he replied "but you never clean" :rotfl: well that's the point isn't it - I need to start.

    :rotfl:

I was innocently going to add that I am looking forward to the bedroom this afternoon, but that sounded just as bad!

Bathrooms done. DD up. Dead flowers flung. Washing sorted. Off to the hairdressers now. Catch you later.
  • Duckydo - how horrible for you, I am sorry you had to listen to her be so vile. I packed in my very well paid job when I had DD five years ago. Having two kids in two years made going back to work impossible even on the salary I was earning - I have never regretted it.

I went to uni, trained hard, worked hard and have had umpteen comments since my kids were born about how I wasted time and money. I stick two fingers up at all of them - I am happy with my choices. I now work for DH part-time from home and do a little paid work out of the house on my own terms each week. I couldn't be happier. xxx
