Many people's view of the world is down to their experience, perception and what they have been conditioned to,this isnt any old MSE reply this is a important and experienced MSE reply :rotfl:

I love the idea of trying to win £2008.

Or alternatively a months mortgage for me would be £1200. I think it would be really hard to figure out if I had won enough things for Christmas, or sold enough winnings to pay for all the Christmas presents - I wouldn't really know that until after I had finished all my Christmas shopping - so I would prefer a more concrete goal!

Really??? That is astoundingly unlucky! I do about 100 a day and have been winning at least five things a month. Are you only entering for the big prizes or Wii's or something? Just wondering if you are entering for the comps with most entrants or something.

I admire your optimism in keeping going though hon - I hope you get something soon!

  • I like the sound of £2008
I haven't done badly so far, I'm happy anyway!
With THE BIG WIN, waiting around the corner, I think it's achievable:T
Mind you I have been very lazy entering comps lately, just too much Xmas going on:rotfl: :xmastree: :xmassign: :snow_grin :snow_laug :xmassmile :rudolf: :santa2:
Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

Love the idea but I too have yet to win this year. I have been idle for a couple of years and only doing the odd comp so not surprised to have won nothing!
Since checking out the comping board here in Oct have been doing about 15 a week but cannot keep up with them all. I did follow advice on the forum and search a RSS feeder but that sends about 30 comps a day and do not seem to have time to do many.
That said have been very lucky in the past when doing postal comps, best win was my pc about 8 years ago just when I really needed it. Have also won a £300 digital camera and another worth £100 both were a couple of years ago so was really chuffed with the wins.
I always donate any unwanted prizes to school for raffle or to charity.
    Good luck everyone.

Pay off my mortgage, oh yes, oh yes.

    Ok...
I'd be up for this (if I HAD a mortgage :rotfl: ) I'd like to get my mortgage deposit bigger!!!!

    Swagbucks ~ £130 (2024 ~ £395)
    Surveys ~ £146.14 (2024 ~ £280.14)
    Make £2025 in 2025 #5 ~ £964.62 ~ (2024 ~ £2,561.04)
  • Hmmmmm, started comping mid August and won about £350+ worth of prizes up to now- helped me a lot with xmas this year. I have 11 nieces/nephews to please and two daughters who want everything!
I would love to have enough to pay off my naughty credit card so.....*cough* £2008 should just about cover it! Sounds like a good figure to me. Mortgage payments are "only" £400 so i've nearly done that already - let's be ambitious!!!

The £2008 one is an excellent idea.

I'd also like to be able to win at least a few things that I can use as birthday / xmas pressies for 2008.
2022 wins include.... £1,000 cheque £150 ASDA gift card £250 Impericon gift voucher £100 cheque £100 of plant bulbs £100 Bower Collective voucher
