 Catz is throwing a paddy as the coathooks all fell off the wall
It's in the way of my comping0 -
Can't get the old one on without hardware repairs, it's been going for ages and won't now charge at all. At the very most I'd want to pay £500.
The old one is 7 or so years old and cost £800 and so getting something more decent cheaply won't be difficult I imagine :rolleyes2
Oh catzI have to say I have this trouble with my laptop, (bought in 1999 so had a fair old innings!). The battery will not hold any charge at all so I have to keep it plugged it at all times & if I move the lappy & the power lead falls out the back then it dies immediately!
Can you use the power lead to power up the lappy so you can get your info off it?Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -
Do we have a section on here for them?
I have heard that there is a better chance of winning as less people enter. I have entered quite a few photo competitions as I had a great pool of digital pics I was quite proud of, but would like to extend to captions and tiebreakers, but I don't know where to look.
Any advice from some experts?

I agree it would be good to have a separate thread for tiebreakers and any writing competitions. They are hard to find and need a bit more thought, so you need time to think about it and then return to the entry page.
I also like these type of comps and they can get a bit lost on the main comps pages here. I have won a few things through writing comps and I do think fewer people enter them so your chances of winning are better.
Good idea to separate them out. But I don't know how you start a new section. You could ask one of the board guides.

There is a tiebraker section on the Loquac competition site, if you google tiebrake a good selection of comps will come up

Thanks fab - i hate loquax though, you have to click an intemediary link to another loquax page and then go through to the comp - it just frustrates me!

Hi Kirsteenatom,
I would like to give tiebrakers a go myself as I'm having no luck at all with the (regular) comps :-)
We could ask our latest appointed board guide 'Kipper' if she would like to suggest a seperate place - like the regular comps - for the tiebreakers.
It would make them a lot easier to find and easier to get back to once you have thought about your entry.
Great idea K!!!Life without string would be chaos.0
