Competitions Discussion Thread Part 3

Hi peeps. Just wondering if it's OK to post a competition where a purchase is necessary to enter the comp?
This is different from being charged to enter a comp and I know those comps are banned, except for text ones.
This is where you are entered into a comp whenever you buy a product from the wesbsite involved. Many tx to all who post constructively in all the forums!:beer:0 -
URGENT HELP, - laptop is about to die a death, can I send my favourites list (one folder) via email to myself & how do I do it  ???0
-
IF you have IE7, click on the Star sign with the plus on it, just to the right of the star sign without a plus on it.
Select the Import and Export option.
Click Next>
Click Export Favourites and then Next>
Select which ones you want to export and then Next>
Then choose which file you want to save to.
Then e-mail the file to yourself. Many tx to all who post constructively in all the forums!:beer:0 -
It's too late, it's dead! Said it had half a battery left but lied
So, I need to know two things:
1) Where can I buy a cheap but reasonable laptop from tomorrow?
2) What do I remove from the old laptop so that no-one can ever retrieve my details from it
Any advice please, all in the name of comping0 -
Hiya catz, not too crash hot on PC's but if you can get the old lappy on do a system restore on it with the discs it came with etc ( will go back to factory settings)
and how much do ya wanna spend on a lappy?0 -
Can't get the old one on without hardware repairs, it's been going for ages and won't now charge at all. At the very most I'd want to pay £500.
The old one is 7 or so years old and cost £800 and so getting something more decent cheaply won't be difficult I imagine :rolleyes20 -
