Wow I wish I had your success rate, 100% in 2007 and 50% in 2006. That is mighty impressive.:D I must enter hundreds every week, to get just a few wins.
Thanks - The T in the Park tickets were the funniest...It asked if you had your parents permission to go.....I put that despite being 41 My parents would allow me to go If I asked them really nicely!...The person that phoned me said that I made them laugh so the picked my entry! Then I gave them away - and its only 4 miles from my house! Well it pays to be nice (and one day all the other aspects of my life will change and I will believe it!)
As I'm going for the £2008 in 2008 challenge you be assured that my results will dwindle to £zilch!I am NOT a Woman! - its Overland Landy (as in A Landrover that travels Overland)

Recently there have been several competitions for guitars posted on here, hence this post.
The guitars are often advertised on the comp sites as "Gibson" guitars which is technically true, but most/all are actually Epiphone guitars, a subsiduary of the Gibson company. The difference in functionality is noticable as is the differnce in resale value - most Gibsons will set you back around a grand in the shops whereas an Epiphone will set you back 300-400quid.
It would be good if the posts on here could state that they are Epiphones not Gibsons (guitar heads like me get over-excited, lol) - if no one minds, I will happily correct any 'mislabelled' guitar comps if the OP is capable of retitling the thread, or just so that compers are aware of this (it may affect your decision to enter, or what to do with the itemshould you win it.
More importantly, from an earlier google-search for guitar comps, I came across one court case where the complainant (in US) won a "Customised Jack Daniels Strat" but it turned out to be a squire strat with a jack daniels sticker on it. What sounded like an exclusive guitar worth around a grand turned out to be a guitar worth around 100quid and the JD sticker actually devalued the guitar if anything (it certainly didn't increase its value.
The comps posted recently for Gibsons do prominently feature the epiphone logo, so the comps aren't illegally misleading us. But the point of this post is basically that I'll post clarifications on any guitar comps posted on here and if I do, I'm not trying to criticise the OP for any misinformation, just making sure the details are clear. And should anyone win a guitar comp on here I'll happily let them know if the prize was what was advertised in the comp just in case you get ripped off.
As anti-climactic as finding out these 'Gibsons' were epiphones was, I'd be downright p!$$ed off if I thought I'd won a proper strat only to take delivery of a squire instead. the epiphone comps are worth entering though, just don't be fooled into thinking it is a hugely expensive/coveted prize.Win 2008 in 2008 member number.....237!!! Incidentally, if I am not being too rude, what do you multiple winners do with the less valuable "stuff" that you win?
Personally - although I may not be what you mean by multiple winner, I do the same as with the 'valuable' stuff - everything I win is a bonus, something I wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise, so not everything is worth it's market value.
Very occasionally I have won 2 of the same thing (dvd/book) and the duplicate has gone to a relative or friend - handy for gifts (but that goes into a whole other discussion.)Jo x2007:£5181.09 2008: £6619.70 2009: £4284.49 2010: £5213.14 2011: £4980.62 2012: £3188.52
