I don't seem to get too much - around 10 a week maximum.

I always try to give the minimum amount of information required, e.g. if the entry form has space for email and a mailing address but the mailing address is optional, I wont supply it.

I always try to opt-out of mailings but sometimes you need to opt in to register entry and some opt-out checkboxes are hard to find (like hiding them within the T&C's text)

Lastly, I am registered with the Mail Preference Service - http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/mpsr/
Email is a different matter but at least i can delete them and unsubscribe easily.

Since I started comping, I am having to clear the junk from my e-mail inbox several times a day, despite always trying to tick the right boxes.
Incidentally, does anyone think you stand a better chance of winning if you tick the box to receive guff from the company promoting the competition?0 -

I started comping in September and only ever had 1 piece of junk mail through my door and one junk phone call, both from the same company! Willowbrook (i think) reclining chairs or something, phoning me to say I entered a comp for a chair would I like to buy one. I was like if I could afford that I wouldnt have entered the comp lol. Don't get any junk through the post then luckily but loads in my email.0
