Another gorgeous day - DD and I visited our local theatre/cinema who were having a behind the scenes open day this morning. It was fascinating and DD is keen to join the youth theatre group to do backstage stuff once we move.
Then we drove to KW's town and went to a lovely museum which he used to volunteer at, then had a late lunch at the university bar next door and popped up to the allotment to pick radishes and water everythingIt all looked so lush (apart from the broccoli plants.....they've proven to be too tasty for wildlife!).
The radishes are scrummy, very fiery, just how I like them
The sun shone, we made more amazing memories and yet again it was just what the doctor ordered!0 -
I've just transferred the last of the money kept in various accounts over to the my main account to pay for the house deposit/solicitors fees later this month
KW and I have decided 2 things:
1. To buy an airbed rather than a sofabed for our occasional guests. I've found one on Amazon that has over 1000 reviews, most of which are very positive. So much cheaper than a sofabed and the sofa style we really like doesn't come in a bed version anyway.
2. To twin our 2 toilets with ones in less well off countriesDoing that with the money we've saved on the sofabed option, so cash neutral and we'll feel good knowing that when we spend a penny, someone else will not have to go in a field/river etc.
I've finally broken my dread of planning and have remembered I have some plans for the style of writing I can recycle and upgrade for at least 3 weeks of this term. Yippee! No doubt they won't be high quality enough for the Beeyatches of Eastwick.....
Not sure what DD and I are up to today. The sun is shining, DD needs to pay for a night away on a school trip and I fancy a swim - not least because our membership expires soon!
As I bought us lunch whilst we were out yesterday, today needs to be cheaper. Can't wait to have my own kitchen so I can bulk cook nibbles for picnics etc. 26 days now0 -
Ok....so I've just bought cinema tickets for a date in August
But we will be able to walk there from our lovely home.....and....errrm....it looks like a great film....and it's called "The Bookshop" so is very apt for 3 bibliophiles!!

OMG how ethical are you on the WC's. Hurrah to planning for housey and yay to date to cinema!!!!
Isnt the weather glorious? I'm cream crackered after my walk and am going to have a nap and then jog before tea! The new (and hopefully) skinnier me.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Went out to a craft club last night and learned how to do mosaic, it was really fun and I love my bird! Hope she'll still look beautiful when she's dried and grouted....because she has a place to be in my new house.
23 days to go!!
The beeyatches of Eastwick are continuing to be syrupy nice. It's unnerving and I know I should just accept it, but it's hard not to be cynical after everything that's gone on.
I'm having a nice easy week, as we're doing lots of arts and crafts in the afternoons and my maths class are being taught by a trainee teacher this week, so it's a lovely transition back into the world of work
I'm also still binge eatingWasting money, adding unnecessary calories to my ever-expanding hips! I'll kid myself that in just over 3 weeks, I'll be super-chilled and will naturally want to eat less and more healthily....but I have to!

Don't worry I get the think about eating. I have been the same all year. 3 weeks to go.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

21 days today (just! as it's only 1:30am at the time of writing
)
DD's head of year emailed me and said that the smile on DD's face when she talks about our move is amazingVery happy about that!
Although it's been an easy week teaching-wise, it's still been exhausting and I could do without insomnia....0 -
Had a lovely day yesterday, took DD to a friend's high ropes birthday party. Sadly, she wasn't allowed to take part due to her back and shoulders, but we chatted loads, cheered on the others and had a lovely sunny time
Today I MUST finish my reports, they're due in to the head on the day we move and I'm hoping now I've broken the back of them, it won't be too arduous to complete!
I've just bought 2 groupons -, 15% discount on the second one and got cashback into DD's savings account to boot! Going to give KW a star map of when and where we met for our anniversary in November *swoon* and I was pleased to see that I could get my car air con regassed for cheap cheap cheeeeeeeeaaaaapp! (Fed up of being hot in the car, lol)
DD's got a rehearsal for the school play, which, as she's backstage this year, I'm under strict instructions to not go to (oh dear) and I'm going to do the aforementioned reports and PACK!
19 days to go.....0 -
You must be feeling so happy that you are nearly moving. Keep going with the reports, you are nearly done.
Well done on the Groupon bargains, you deserve a treat. :j:jAiming for a minimal spend 20220
