Hubby's op was really successful and he was discharged much earlier than expected. He's signed off for two weeks, which is a lot less than the 6-8 weeks they'd suggested so he's really pleased. So not much spending going on as we've been just getting stuff ready for that really. Pay day tomorrow and I reckon we can slide a fairly decent amount over to the 6 month fund. Trying to get some side hustle work finished and timesheet in asap and also applying for jobs as well as keeping the house sorted and on top of things at work. Went for a run today cos it was all feeling a bit too much, don't like the running much but do like the fact I can't worry about anything else while I'm doing it and the feeling when it's over is brilliant!

Money shuffled over today and there's hubby's pay day on Thursday so potentially some more to shuffle then too. Got cracking on some side hustle stuff today, one part done and the second to get done tonight. Was so organised with work stuff was able to leave much earlier than normal to make sure everyone at home is fed and watered.

Woohoo, another £500 to go over tomorrow as hubby's work has paid him in full for the month. Double woohoo because he's very much on the mend and should be back at work in a week's time. Side hustle work has got done and timesheet is going in tomorrow. Applying for new jobs this week and over the weekend so plenty of stuff to keep me busy and keep me from shopping too!

Little trip out with hubby today, bit of mooching but not much buying tbh. Already transferred the £500 over and budget is looking healthy this month too. Bought the boy new school shoes as he & continuous rain have wrecked his old ones and could do with getting some slightly less grey shirts for him tomorrow as he's looking particularly dingey! Took a whole day just to chill today so am both very relaxed and very tired! Going to write all my to-do's down so I can get cracking first thing tomorrow but think I need an early night.

Not much apart from housework today and no spends either. Starting with a cold, cold legs and arms and warm hot flushy face - delightful. SO going to treat myself to a bowl of soup and an early night to try and ward it off. Am far too busy to be ill!

Not been posting as have been really busy (and really tired!) Both me and Mr D are keyworkers so we're both in working still, I'm doing 5 days out of 10 in each fortnight and he's on a rolling 3 days on, 3 days off pattern so we are meeting ourselves coming backwards quite often!  Not spending much money either apart from food and petrol so the savings pot is creeping up steadily. Am still job hunting for something permanent for September but hopefully the savings will cushion us for a bit if something doesn't turn up by then.

Nowt happening, money wise or life wise. No spending apart from usual bills and food shopping. Side hustle job has stopped for now so doing surveys to keep a bit of extra cash coming in and got teenage daughter doing them too as she's got nothing to do now A levels are off. She's applied for a 4 month temp job so will see what comes of that. 2 job applications in for me too but not heard anything so main focus is still on saving up. Going to try to get cooking from scratch more and get garden done as cheap as we can over coming weeks too so researching cheap ways to do stuff.  Also going to try to claim some PPI tax back and sort out household papers (again!)

Mr D gets paid tomorrow and a big bonus for all the overtime recently so going to sit down tonight and work out what we're going to stash away for now. Need a few bits doing around the house but might as well stash it away for the meantime as they all need someone to come in and do work.  Then it's boxset and sofa time for a change before work for the next few days. Think I might be getting the life/work balance sorted!
