The Spectos Mailagents sign up page has now gone live.  You can either sign up as a private panellist or a business panellist. The link to do so is below.

    https://mailagents.uk/

It’s hard to tell whether the new survey will be more or less rewarding than it is at present. It looks like we will receive points worth 35p for each item we receive and log and points worth 35p for each batch of items we send (rather than per item). It looks like the presentation packs of stamps might be gone but they do say we should receive 1st class stamps from Royal Mail for every month we are on the panel. Doesn’t say how many, but if it’s Royal Mail sending them, it might be reasonable to assume that the number will remain the same. It’s also not clear whether it will continue to run as a 6 month on/6 month off system or if everyone who applies will be accepted. It does however seem like it’s very much going to be app based, so that might be a disappointment to anyone who doesn’t have smartphones.

I’m thinking this might be a good opportunity to create a new thread for the new panel, so that the links to the Spectos panel are at the very top of the page.
Thanks for posting. I agree that now would be a good time for a new thread.

Thanks for the link, I too registered as an existing panellist - this is the blurb in the email that I received.

But what’s next? In a few days you will receive a first letter from Spectos by post, our Hello letter!

This letter will contain all relevant information about the survey, your participation and how to gain access to your Mailagents account in the Mailagents App or on mailagents.uk.

It will explain how to download the Mailagents app and activate your Mailagents account. The app is your central tool for participation in the study and for communication with the Mailagents team.

You can also watch our videos which will show you what to do after receiving your Hello letter and how to activate your Mailagents account.

Please check that all of your given information is correct. If you find something wrong, please contact us or change your data after you have activated your Mailagents account.

What should you do if you don’t receive our Hello letter within a few days or need help? Please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us via support@mailagents.uk, we will gladly support you.

Do you need further information? You will find the most frequently asked questions here!

We greatly appreciate your participation in our Mailagents panel and look forward to working with you.

    Kind regards

    Yours Mailagents team

Ditto.  Given that I'm expecting to start with Kantar in September - I'm presuming that this will allow me to move over to Spectos when they take over.

I had a quick look through the videos.   35p per item in and out?  Well that could be up to 10 a week so £14 a month.  But you can't claim until you have £25 worth.  And nothing to say what vouchers you can exchange for.

Nor does it tell you if Correctly Delivered and Unaddressed are going to transfer to Spectos as well.

    Yep - lots of questions....

These cubes are getting beyond a joke now. The postman has just delivered 4 packages, 3 with cubes to post in the same week and a sack for 2 of them. I only started the current participation this week so that will be 5 cubes in 2 weeks. The sack ones will have to wait until the following week as it will be a Saturday and I am catching a train that day before the post office opens. Don’t think I will be accepting the invitation next time ( if Kantar are still running it) if it carries on like this.
You can use the parcel post boxes for them. Although they do tend to get stuck but I’ve decided that’s not my problem,
The instructions they sent with the bag/parcel don’t tell me how to use a a parcel post box, just the post office. The schedule says handed over the post office counter. I was going to travel to a parcel box but not sure now.

You cannot put sacks in a parcel postbox, only parcels with a stamp.

Sacks still need to go to a post office

    Just signed up.

The points are welcome for sending and receiving items, but will take a long time to reach 2500 (£25) for cash out!

Hopefully the number of monthly stamps stays the same.

I might be wrong but I took it to be 35p for each batch of items that is sent, rather than per item (although it does seem to be 35p per item received). Maybe that’s not point though as I think it was quite rare that I had to post more than one item at a time. Unless it was a cube…hopefully it’s more than 35p per cube!

EDIT: It looks like correctly delivered and unaddressed mail will transfer to Spectos as well. When I tried to sign up as a new panellist, it asked loss of questions about whether I could monitor unaddressed mail and if I was able to keep a record of all mail received over a 2 week period, and didn’t have communal mail boxes etc, so it all sounded very similar.

Outgoing mail is 35p per batch. Parcels are not going to be very lucrative.
