Never had one to post in my first time on the panel. I don't think my local post office would be happy anyway. The even have a notice up saying they don't take anything over 2kg. My local parcel postbox in not in my postcode area so that is not an option.

Isn’t that the point though? To challenge postal services who “aren’t happy” about offering services they are obliged to do under their contract.

No sure how they would know. Most people just find another PO.

I don't know how you would post on the survey that the post office rejected the parcel.

I’d message them to tell them.

Not had to post a sack yet but other people who have had issues have moved on to another PO. To be honest it is not worth it for the money they pay.

I would certainly raise a complaint, the branch does not pick and choose what size parcels it takes apart from anything covered by PF Large.
We have a local small shopkeeper who sees himself as some sort of entrepreneur fit to be on the Dragon's Den panel who took on the PO service making a big noise about it and telling everyone how he was saving the community who then started trying to restrict the services offered, cutting counter times, not wanting to take pre stamped items etc and now wants to ditch it.

The parcels we send for Kantar only have a flimsy piece of polystyrene in them only weigh a few oz. That’s why I have alway found posting them embarrassing when they ask what is in there.

Craft items or samples.  You get a knowing look anyway so it doesn’t really matter.

  • I always say it's a polystyrene shape. I suspect they know it's a test item anyway, living in a small village as I do.
