Please could anyone advise about posting using a mailsack please?
I've folded the SOS in such a way that only the barcode is clearly visible, and I've slotted it under the black tie, but pulled the tie a bit tight and I think the tie will need to be cut off to retrieve the SOS.
There won't be a problem with scanning the barcode, but does the counter clerk then remove the SOS from the sack, or is it left with the sack for the RM to collect?
I have a spare black tie so I could redo it, but OH says it's fine as it is, so I am interested in what other panelists think.

You hand over the piece of paper to the Post Office who scan it and keep it
No need to attach it to the bag.
Well that is what is supposed to happen. Some Post Offices seem to do things differently.

Thank you gt.
I have always attached it to the bag as it hides the date printed on it (which is always the date the document was created, not the date you have handed it in). Apparently some panelists have been questioned about the difference in the dates, but I never have.
The first time I handed a bag in, the counter clerk told me to tuck the paperwork under the black tie and leave it in the corner. She didn't scan the barcode or even look at the SOS while I was there, so I've done this every time since. I presume it works okay as I've always received my reward points.
The bag in question will be posted at a different PO, so maybe they'll do it differently. I'll see when I post it next Tuesday.
When you say they scan and keep it, do you mean they don't return it to you?
Do they keep it for their records, or do they pass it onto the RM when the bag is collected? As I was told to tuck it under the black tie, I wonder if that is what they do themselves, after scanning the barcode.

My PO scans the barcode, stamps the form and then asks me to tuck it in to the zip tie.I need to think of something new here...1

I tuck the manifest into the cable tie which I tighten enough so the sack is secure but you could take out the paperwork if you needed to. I hand the sack and attached paperwork over at the counter. I have never been asked a question, all they say is thank you. It has been the same at the 3 post offices I have taken sacks to, no questions, no comments, no problems.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

I've used 3 post offices. First one insists I thread the black tie through the manifest. Second one keeps it but just separately. Third one stamps it and gives it me back!!!!!!!4

I successfully swapped out over £200 worth of stamps, paid £6.85 for delivery, received the replacement stamps to the exact value of what I'd swapped, but didn't get the £6.85 refund for my postage costs. I found a phone number - I think someone on this forum had helpfully put it in a post. I contacted a help line via the number, got assurances that the £6.85 was going to be sent. The story goes on with two further phone calls, acknowledgement that I'm entitled to the refund each time, but no refund. I've now lost the phone number to call back. Has anyone on here tried this and got the phone number please. I'm determined to try again and would appreciate the contact details. I have scrolled back, but not found what I'm looking for.
