littlemoney said:Out of interest I have just been onto the website and according to the panelist guide the app is not mandatory as it states
If you’re doing this on the website, enter the date, time and location you posted the item and submit. Always make sure to record the exact time of posting to the minute: If you’ll record your item later, check the time you’re at the posting location and make a note of it
That was me who was dropped after around 9 weeks. I rang them up as they sent me a message about wanting me to use the app for more accuracy, but I explained no data and no wifi near any of the post boxes I used and I was told they would make a note but it would be fine. I took a screenshot with the time so it was exact when I posted and then 6 weeks later they dropped me for not using the app. This was annoying as I went out of my way getting details of my local post boxes and posting every item on time and filling in the details. They should not say you can use the website when clearly you cannot. After my response to them they sent me 8 envelopes to return 4 RFIDs and said "Unfortunately once removed you are unable to participate in the correctly delivered and unaddressed mail surveys." so it looks like its the end of my time on the panel.

That,s a shame especially when it,s thry who are changing the rules in a way they know will eliminate some of their panelists who don't have the technology but it's like banks closing many their local branches when they know a lot of their customers don't have computers, smartohones or access to online banking1

I am wondering if they've removed me from the main survey as I've had no incoming test items for what feels like 2 to 3 weeks now.
I too record postings via the website as I don't have the right kind of phone for the new modern way - wonder if that's why I'm not as busy as I used to be.
Wouldn't be surprised to find I'm no longer required. :0(0 -
I opted out of parcels during covid as my (relatively) local post office dramatically reduced their hours. Every time I visit the website now I am getting a popup asking if I am prepared to post parcels again - I keep ticking "ask me later" but will no doubt have to give in eventually. Its not really fair to get rid of panellists for not being able to use the app - the post office I use is in a bit of tricky area for 4G, takes a bit of moving around sometimes to get a connection. If you are on PAYG then its obviously not worth carrying on if they are going to make us all use the app every time - having being on PAYG myself in the past I sympathise, used to cost me at least 50p every time I used the internet, even if just for a couple of minutes. Clearly they are moving towards wanting all participants to use the app every time

I am about to re-start the main survey and I have had a pop up asking me if I am prepared to post parcels. I think it said 1 or 2 a month. I have not answered it yet but it has disappeared from my screen so can’t check. Has anyone else had one2
