molerat said:By "they" I mean Royal Mail. RM have to present the survey data to the regulator and there are obviously ways to manipulate the scope of that data to eliminate any negative factors whilst still being seen to be doing.Ah, I see, thanks for explaining, I stand corrected. Obviously I though you meant Kantar reporting to RM - sorry for the misunderstanding.beanielou, that's very sensible. Kantar's editorial currently asks panellists to continue as normal, citing the value of the survey to RM in doing their job at a time of crisis, but given the rapid escalation of this crisis and the increasing emphasis on social distancing, I expect they'll change their stance on this; nobody's going to take kindly to being asked to endanger their and others' health for a couple of books of stamps.Re my previous post, I should have said "as pleasant as possible under the circumstances." Reading back my last line, it sounds a bit blithe, which wasn't intended.2

Have received two cubes to post on different days next week, don't think that is going to happen!

Just tagging on to say that I emailed Kantar through the website to say that as I'm in an at-risk group I'll be self insolating for about 12 weeks as per Government guidelines. I said that I would be able to receive items, but that I would only be able to post items that could go into a postbox and would't be going into post offices. They have said they will keep me on the panel but will pause me sending cubes and parcels for the time being.

I've had to do the same. Our nearest post office is located in a supermarket and trying to get in there right now is like entering the gates of Hell. Potential virus transmission nightmare!3

I’ve just refused an early invitation to rejoin the postal panel, due to virus concerns. With all the extra mail entering the house, along with having to take cubes to the post office (located at local supermarket) it’s not worth the risk. Prefer to leave it for a while.2

I’ve found the number of items to post has dwindled enormously, down to 1 item per week to post, from 2-3 previously. Is this anyone else’s experience?Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j1

Should we be spraying arriving RIDFs with anti bacterial spray I wonder or is this taking hygiene to a paranoid level? How can we know that a sender isnt already potentially infectious?. I was earlier thinking just of the danger of entering the supermarket in which my post office is located to post cubes but the trouble is we dont really know enough about how long the virus can lurk on items in transmission from A to B if they've been handled by a potential sufferer.
