Thank you for the good wishes. Nothing much done in a suitably peaceful fashion. This suited the low energy levels of tail end of heavy cold quite nicely.
various leftovers portioned and frozen, and pea n ham soup made this evening - always a satisfying experience to make a good thick soup.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Envious of the home grown leeks @KajiKita - they don't grow well in our stony soil. I like them pan cooked - finely sliced, with a huge dob of butter and then a scrunched up 'lid' of baking paper so they saute in the butter without catching.
Lovely to see you @juliejim, hope you had a good break too
Walking yesterday, and a lovely day. Cold but bright. My dodgy ankle has held up surprisingly well but I need to do my physio exercises again. We ate on the way home *coughs* so no cooking for me hurrah.
Stupidmarket delivery due later, full of lots of healthy vegetables that I can watch rotting in the fridge eat in exciting combinations and actually have some vitamins.
Oh and it pay day, must shuffle some money round. I hate to admit it but there is still money left from November, even after the credit card bill. My hatred of shopping when it is busy has paid off. I did fritter on some kindle books with vouchers but used the spend £15/get £5 so even that was a reasonable deal. I might spend the rest on jumpers...

“… full of lots of healthy vegetables that I can watch rotting in the fridge eat in exciting combinations and actually have some vitamins“ this made me LOL! 😂😂😂
Glad my garden can grow something. It’s not very fertile or gardener friendly yet …..

I am at least honest about my terrible eating habits. I have had mushrooms today so some vitamins at least. And a vitamin tablet which is a big improvement.
I resisted jumpers. A trip into local university town for house renovation stuff, and a dash round the value supermarkets while it's quiet. Lots of tinned beans which I need to make a plan for.
happy new year everyone
