Sorry to hear you're not feeling good
Hope you pick up soon. Don't fight the sleep it's your body repairing itself. If your skin stays pinched on the back of your hand it means you're dehydrated, which could be linked to the kidney infection - get plenty of water down you. Look after yourself Redo xx
I'd forgotten all about the What Katy Did books - I read them all when I was a nipperI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hope you feel better soon! :starmod:0

Oh dear, just been over at Cumbria's diary and she is also unwell. Take care of yourself and force yourself to rest! Online shopping is perfect for your situation. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Ouch to kidney infections Redo - not too much worse, is there. If you're sleeping lots then you probably need to, so go with it. And absolutely go the online shopping route - it'll be cheaper to pay the delivery charge than to send OH to do it by the sound of things!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Please note that I'm sure DIA doesn't mean stocking up on cashmere
Get well soon!0 -
Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I'm doing my best 'head down and batter on' because there isn't really an alternative. Getting some work done as I can bill for part days - some income is better than none after all. Especially when I have spent a lot this week....
No, not on cashmere. Although, I do need something for the boys to give me as a birthday present.
Reading: Lord Edgeware dies (Christie) and gardening magazines - remembered that I can access e-magazines for free via my library card
Eating: avocado, tomato and chicken tortilla wraps - hurrah for nice wonky avocados. Roasted a chicken from the freezer which will cover the next few days if I have a relapse
House: bits done in the garden, including filling both green waste bins. Giant bee on the winter flowering honeysuckle this afternoon made me smile, and it smells wonderful too. The aptly named Lonicera Fragrantissima.
Used up: energy, and energy reserves. And the last of the frozen veg.
Bought: did a MrW home delivery for packed lunch bits, and got some reduced F&V in the co-op.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Reading: 'Garden Rejuvenation' in the bath, and case of William Smith by Patricia Wentworth on the kindle when sore everything insomnia strikes.
Eating: made chilli for him, and couscous with chicken scraps for the boys. Just realised I haven't fed me since an avocado for lunch. Whoops
House: huge amazing progress outside thanks to a last minute decision to outsource some of the work. It's cost a lot, but the time is invaluable. I have smiled every time I have looked out of the window. I might even manage to let a cleaner inside at this rate
Used up: tired mushrooms into the chilli, and RTC mince from the freezer
Bought: rugby boots for DS2. V annoying. He hates sport, and last year they did two sessions and then moved onto Badminton. Milk and bananas. Then OH came home with his uneaten banana collection from work :cool:My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I also sorted my seed stash. I'd forgotten I got a lot of end of season 10p seeds last year so plenty to be going on with. Need radishes and kohl rabi, (which was the run away success of last year, 29p in Lidl I think) and ideally some seed potatoes if I see any reasonably priced ones.
The veg plot is covered in annual weeds but that shouldn't take much work to shift. Some of you may remember the work I put into clearing it of brambles and nettles last year, and it would be a shame to let it slide again. Just need to shake off this infection, have a few nights decent sleep and then I can move mountains. Although I don't need to, because the very nice chaps today have moved them for me.
For once I can make plans for the garden without giving up because I can't manage the hard labour. I'm off for a bath with a cup of tea, and some design inspiration in the form of Barnsdale and the late great Geoff Hamilton.
I'm also hoping to have recovered enough to go and look at some snowdrops on Sunday so I need to stick to just planning and not doing to support that.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
